Unprecedented in my 25+ years down here and very unwelcome news.

I love the snow, bring it on, we hardly ever get it down here that was until this year of course haha.

I can't see it happening again down here, maybe the north will get it but not this far south this late in the year.

Is anyone a weatherman? Are we really getting Snow for Easter and do I have to stock up on frozen pastries, home-baking supplies, UHT milk and road salt? :eek:

Not the snow that was originally predicted a week ago for this morning, but Wunderground suggests there are patches of sleet and freezing rain around the south coast, along with the predominant rain cover.

Seems to eb quite some forecast variation for the next few days.
I use the WeatherPro app which is Meteo Group - same as BBC now - and compared to the Met Office there is a good 3-4 degree temp difference day to day, with the Met being a lot more pessimistic.
Not sure which to believe at present. From previous forecasts they have both had good and bad data.

We had quite some hail shower earlier (South Somerset) - brief but quite intense.

So i got the fright of my life earlier. Minding my own business, listening to some music with headphones on and posting on XDA, when KABOOM! Flash of light fills every window, immediate and massive clap of Thunder. i hit the ceiling. Power goes out and comes back. I check everything. Watch Router keenly. Everything comes back Phew, massive relief. Try Internet. No connection. Ruh Ro! Try phone for WiFi. That's working okay, but no Ethernet.

Pull out the box of assorted cables and my spare Router. Try cables first. No luck. Try Router. Nothing. Dammit. Order PCI Ethernet card from nameless site. Bank holiday weekend so earliest delivery is Tuesday. Just my luck. Remember certain membership status and app with short delivery times. Order USB Ethernet Port and much Beer to make up minimum delivery.

USB Port fixes Internet. Beer fixes frazzled nerves!

Also should mention that although my avatar here is Dirk, it's used in full elsewhere, Dirk Gently. A certain character that had a run-in with a certain God of Thunder! Been nice knowing you all, but when Thor is after you it's time to make your peace with the world.

Supposedly going to "feel like" around 0C tomorrow morning around the rush hour in the Southampton area.

When I came out of work (South Somerset) in the early hours of this morning there was odd spots of rain and the odd actual snow flakes coming down amongst it.
