Yes me too. Dune was wonderful in all its incarnations, so it'll be interesting to see what he does with it.
Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds.
I'm didn't know what to expect from this one, but it really blew me away. At 140 minutes, this adaptation of the popular South Korean manhwa series of the same name is shorter than the usual South Korean movie, though you won't really notice because the visuals and plot are just so compelling.
Watched this yesterday based on your review, and wow, brilliant. So much better than a lot of the dross Hollywood pumps out
A deserved 8/10
The Cell - Part bizzare and visually intriguing thriller, part terrible Jenifer Lopez vehicle. Worth a watch for the visuals but otherwise seems like a waste of good ideas.
There is one particularly dumb and pointless scene near the start with Lopez shown smoking weed in her house and showing off her body... just totally gratuitous. The film’s resolution of plot is also deeply annoying and makes the better aspects of the film redundant.
Still, worth a watch just for the intriguing, non-sensical visuals. Also, Vince Vaughn is fairly decent in his straight faced role.
5/10
Three Billboards - 8/10
First half was 10/10, really amazing storytelling and everything felt original. Second half let it down a little but still great. It should have won the Oscars for both picture and director instead of The Shape of Water.
GOing to give this a go this weekI really enjoyed this, not my usual type of movie but I think Sam Rockwell was brilliant, or maybe he is just good at playing a***holes like in the Green Mile. Just a quality film all round.
