And to think this film was included in a list of pointless remakes on a website I was looking at.
How can it be ******* pointless when it's a lot closer to what Judge Dredd is intended to be! Idiots.
Hear hear. The recent Judge Dredd was badass!
It didn't do well in the US as they did no marketing (because they thought it wouldn't do well), so there's pretty much no chance of another movie for the foreseeable future. However, there is a series coming from Netflix. Karl Urban has said he wants to do it if the scripts are good, and the producers want him, so it's a question of filming schedules and discussions as to whether we get Urban back or some other actor is cast.
Didn't help it was a 3D only release in the cinemas here
Also the misconception that it rips off The Raid put a lot of people off when it's the other way around.
It's become one of my all time favourite films and i'll parrot again what I always say when it comes up in a thread on here...i've yet to see a movie that utilises the use of 3D, slow motion and audio as well as this film does. It's an absolute modern classic.
I look forward to Mega City Stories (think that's the name) on Netflix...I pray Urban gets involved.
Did they steal the script pre production or have a time machine?

Dredd was longer in pre/post production, and the script was shopped around before production began. It's not that unusual to have someone in the industry take the script and then change enough to make it cheaper and not legally actionable. That's why you see so many times a couple of very similar films arrive within a few months of each other.

I loved Dunkirk at the cinema. But I suspect it didn't play as well on a smaller screen. I imagine it really does need to be seen at the cinema.Dunkirk
5/10
Totally average, and forgettable movie. It wasn't terrible, but I am not even sure I have an opinion on it and further thinking about it I'm not sure it's a 5/10.

I still haven't seen Dunkirk. Keep reading too much negativity that puts me off.
Shame, as I usually love Christopher Nolan's films.
