Valve stem seals will manifest when the car is warm. Start it and let it idle for a minute, then rev to 3000rpm. If it smokes the seals are shot.
The valley pipe is on all of the N62 engines from the *45s to the *50s.
Well if that is the case certainly wasn’t any smoke. On the subject of the valley pipe, isn’t there a method when the engine doesn’t require to be fully stripped down? Isn’t there a method when you remove the water pump then you slide another pipe in? Sounds like a bit of a bodge but I read a few articles on it, when I thought it was only the 645.
