Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

In his video says "do not pre order" yet he advertises a laptop and says "pre order now"!!!
HAHAHAHA :D

LoL

Adored Tv has naild it again, the guy needs more views for the accurate analysis, its so refreshing to see.

To summarise, lucky if 2080 is even 8% than the 1080Ti lol

lucky if 2080TI is from 13-20% faster

if these numbers stand I wonder how many will keep their pre order lol

He's been a breath of fresh air. That's for certain.

So Jays2Cents is saying:

2070 is the 1080
2080 is the 1080ti
2080ti is the Titan

Makes the pricing a bit more tolerable when looked at like that.
To Me it was obvious and they ****** up not calling 2080ti a Tytan.

They did it cause next year they will most likely have 7nm card. And If they have not put Ti card out but Titan people would wait for Ti that.... Would NEVER COME.

I agree with him. ITs FIRST innovation from NV since cuda cores. If they push it good AMD is so xxxxxx

So if the 2080 is 50% faster than 1080, then I suppose the 2080Ti is also 50% faster than 1080Ti.
That would match up with the rumours given to AdoredTV. The 2080Ti is the Titan RTX at a cheaper price so it fits pretty much exactly. I'm pleasantly surprised by these numbers, still wait for reviews for the full picture. DLSS is very impressive if it can improve performance further. Shadow of the Tomb Raider has DLSS support as well as ray tracing so I would turn off the latter while keeping the former on for even better performance.

I'm in a tricky position. I've been waiting on the 20 series for a few weeks since deciding to upgrade my old SLI GTX 580's. Since then, i've picked up an Acer X34P and currently seen as my GPU's can't output a decent res over hdmi, am just using it hooked up to my XPS but that's hdmi so 50hz locked. But, I was hoping to pick up a new GPU sooner rather than later.

I'm not chucking over a grand at a single GPU. End of, so the 2080ti is out of the question. So the predicament now would be the question everyone wants to know. What's going to be better, a 1080ti (11gb EVGA FTW3 is going for £705 currently on the rainforest) or the standard 2080 which OCUK have up the Asus 8gb for £715.

I'm really not sure which, and just because i've got the monitor and nothing to really drive it, i'm being impatient over the reviews and wan't to pull the trigger on a 1080ti.. but at £10 difference, that kind of feels like the wrong decision. Even ignoring Raytracing, the 2080, has got to be better then the 1080ti... hasn't it?

Honestly in your case, its either 2080 brand new or 1080Ti second had. The 2080 should be faster than 1080TI but nobody know by how much, current estimate is 8% give or take, but if yo are keeping this card for few years I can really see the 2080 pulling away with further software refinements over the years as game developers implement its newer technologies.

I'd pick 2080 over a 1080 Ti. It has newer tech, a generation ahead, will get more performance with future driver optimizations.

Remember this. At the time of release, a 980 Ti and 1080 were almost identical in games. Now two years later, 1080 is often a good 25-30% ahead. This is always the case. The gap between current and last gen keeps on widening as time goes by and newer drives and titles come.

Don't forget the future resale value either. In two years a 1080 Ti will be worth much less than a 2080.

What a massive fail of a launch, scrambling to show gaming performance after the disaster reveal, and now they try to deceive again with Nvidia Graphworks, 'in select titles'.

I'm betting the rumour of 2080 being around 10% faster than 1080 Ti only is on the money when running normal settings. Approaching 2 years later Nvidia gives us more or less the same performance as a 1080 Ti for the same price!!

You sound like a salesman. The gigantic difference is the 2080s cost £800 and you can pick up 1080 Ti's for £600 or less than £500 second-hand. No brainer to get a Ti instead and wait for 7nm.

The person quoted a £10 difference. Obviously at £200 it will be different.

If I was buying now I'd get the 2080. Seems to perform exactly the same (almost) as the 1080Ti, and you won't miss that extra ram at that resolution imo.

I hope not! As a fellow X34P owner, what sort of FPS are you hitting with the 1080ti?

Two very good points I hadn't taken into account. Maybe 2080 it is..
