AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

My R5 1600 is still doing the biz.

I might upgrade to a Ryzen 3K, when I know how it performs, and if it enhances my life. Meanwhile, other stuff.

Mine needs a great excuse to upgrade... like me waiting 30 mins to an hour to encode my latest video is really inconveniencing me... (it's not). The only thing I really need to upgrade is my GPU, lol. But totally want more power from my CPU.

Let’s get back on topic.

Some other things, whilst I am here:

Thanks to those who’ve reported posts, we don’t read every post of every thread. This is a 109 page monster and we don’t appreciate posters publicly bashing the moderating team because we’ve missed the odd post.

If you have an issue with the viewpoint of a particular poster and feel it’s bordering on trolling then please a) report the post or b) use the ignore feature.

I’ve deleted many posts in the last 2 pages where posters have resorted to crying “troll” which isn’t helpful because it encourages a mob mentality and creates additional work for us to clean up. Regardless what you believe, it isn’t nice and certainly isn’t something OcUK would want a discussion thread about Ryzen to become.

The team are taking action and discussing individuals which we think are causing issues and these persons will be dealt with accordingly. You are welcome to start a thread in FCD if you have a suggestion to make these discussions better for the community.

We still have 4 weeks, maybe even 6 before we will actually have hardware in our hands, let's hope the hype doesn't die down while we wait.

Add 2 or 3 people to your ignore list and this thread is transformed into a technical discussion ;)

I can't really make my mind up on RAM. Not going with b-die just means lesser chances of overclocking?

I thought B-Die was the best? I could be wrong but that was my understanding.

Indeed. Someone got their wires crossed but this time B die, c die and e die is all good from what we know. B die is being phased out with c die replacing it. E die was different manufacture.

think I just messed myself around the 10 minute mark...…...

One thing that makes this launch more exciting than previous launches, is the investment that appears to be coming from the likes of Asrock/Gigabyte, a water cooled motherboard for crying out loud Great video!
