Hmm, I decided to force enable WebRender since I have eligible hardware (W10, Nvidia GPU, desktop) and while the heavier sites do load up faster, I've noticed for some reason, the font on OcUK forums looks different (WR off above, WR on below):

Other sites looks completely fine. Pretty sure I remember this happening when Firefox first jumped to GPU rendering many years ago...

As daft as this sounds, switch back to the standard blue theme and see if it's still happening, I've had issues with the dark theme and things not being in the right place on FF.

Still same with the blue theme. Might have a fiddle with about:config to see if I can improve it.

You're right, fonts definitely look different - almost bolder?

I use the default OcUK blue theme and nothing that changes it and I still see the change. In fact I see it across several websites, not just OcUK.

Seems the current target to fix this is with version 69 but it's a P3 priority so may get pushed down.

Will be webrender, while they started turning it on for desktop Nvidia GPUs with 67, 68 enables it for desktop AMD GPUs. It's in Bugzilla but no update on it at all since I've reported it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1553818

Just update to 68 and first thing that struck me is text has gone all blurry on these forums. (Nvidia GT 710)

I think it's the same issue that @Orcvader mentioned. (I'm on Nvidia and it's been fine up until today's (68) update.

Looks like the bug even affected the software renderer, only the Direct2D renderer produced the clear font. Oddly enough, the original fix for this also allowed them to discover another font rendering bug, which is fixed as well.

just got my new rig, with Win 10, and a Nvidia card, and my Firefox, now looks like the bottom one, with WR on.
