I gave up and ordered an R5 3600. It's eventually going to end up going in a rig for my wife (her birthday in a few weeks) but for now I need something to play with.

I have spoken with CS and they've told me they expect a new shipment of Ryzen 3rd series by the end of the week, also I've managed to buy one of only 3 x570 boards not in stockKeeps us on our toes and everything interesting though!

It's tradition over here to have a riot over a CPU launch
3900x vs 4790K (I know a lot want to see this). 10% uplift on average. Kinda sad actually. 10% in 5 years. And thats ignoring that large overclock you can typically get on a 4790K. Im willing to bet they are the same FPS if the 4790 is at 4.6-4.8Ghz

True but that was 4 cores per CCX would need to shut half of the cores off with Zen 2.
I don't see a real case except OEM which would be APU at price point
Don't think any low end parts have been announced yet.
3200G/3400G APUs aren't Zen 2, they are just Zen+
The 4790K is still going strong in games hehe.
