People with excess money will do it anyway to satisfy ocd regarding maximising the processor.

Clearly it's not maximising the use of the money though.
lets face it i'w spent 80 quid on petrol driving around on Saturday ant not been far. But had a blast in my 350z :D sop dropping extra 50 quid for ram kit that will last longer than 1 tank of petrol is not bad deal is it ??

Its upscaling post processing gluing together ect. Takes a while to cut glue ect 7-8 hours of raw gopro footage.
The benchmark project that i got is 34minute long and on 2700x it took 47 minutes to produce ant thats with no upscaling to 4k. When u[pscaling 1080p to 4k times goes x3 :D

Like Menno Solo set from otr that was 6 hour long I'w split it in to Warmup phase Main phase Bangers phase and Classic phase.

sadly due to health falling apart im limited to 4 hours/event nowadays. USed to record whole events got 4 spare batteries to swap over ect.

I'ts like I come back from event 6am spend 2 hours setting projects up for rendering click start smoke some weed and go to sleep hehe

used to photograph club events a decade ago. I'm looking forward to significant reduction with the 3950x for mine. nice thing is vegas doesn't scale with memory frequency so bought a cheap 2400mhz kit when I built the system My 1700 was 6x quicker than my fx6300 clocked at 4.5 lol

every little helps! #asda
in all seriousness though, if it means getting the 3700x over the 3600, or a 2070S over the 2060S...then clearly i know where the smart money to be spent is. and it's not on the ram.

Got to say I am delighted. Just tried my first game since going from 4690k to 3700x. (Spend all weekend transfering files and downloading, dialing in RAM etc.

Didn't expect much gaming gains but got instant 30fps+ increase in RUST. and just felt smoother, no lows or micro stutters.

Delighted at new rig!

Thank you so much! Could I be a massive pain and ask you to run it on 1080/Medium too :o? No worries if not the v.low benchmark gave me enough info to do what I needed, thanks again either way.

I don't spend much time here so can't guarantee I'll see stuff like this but I saw your post and having run the 1440p one yesterday for a comparison post in a thread on AVForums I thought I'd run it and help. If there's more I can help with I can drop my Discord ID so you can give me a shout and I'll see it. Plus I'm curious what you're doing with it

This is a tough start to Ryzen 3700x for me.
B450 board didn't workout, now it is looking like this x570 ultra is the same, but a different problem.
I'm patient with these teething problems, as I bought my i2500k late on, when Haswell was released with next to no problems.

Serious enough to render it useless for now? I think many are having issues. It's the ultimate rush job to get them to market it seems - even one of the OCUK staff told AMD the product wasn't ready. But I'm sure hardware wise it'll bit fine but need the software (bios particularly) to play catch up, hopefully this will happen very soon with the new boards released at least.
