Any news on the 3080 ROG Strix non OC version? That seems to be missing from all the updates I've seen.

I just ordered one right now. My brilliant logic figured the most expensive card would have the shortest wait list. I have since discovered this might not be the case by a long shot! Oh well I'm not in a huge rush thankfully!

I have two orders at moment for Eagle OC - one here placed with about 2214 and another placed on another smaller site beginning C (ending in L with three letters), which was placed at 1416.

I have nothing official from OCUK - other than the 'unofficial; queue, whereas the other much smaller retailer has given me estimated dispatch date of 30th Sep! - all through their live chat.

In my opinion, OCUK have been poor in keeping people up to date. Yes there is a forum thread, but the vast majority of people won't use/know of it.

FYI i'm, keeping my order with OCUK for now, but it will almost certainly be cancelled assuming the other order comes through. I only placed the OCUK order as at the time it had an estimated delivery for just a few days. Thats very misleading.

That company is one of my locals. They took my order at release and cancelled it after taking my money. It took a week to get the money back and delayed me getting in on the preorder ques. They also emailed a member of guru3d to come to collect their 3080 in person for him to get there and them to turn him away saying they had no stock! They told him to come and get it lol.

So they're all as bad as each other.

Is there any news on the EVGA cards ive seen from the official thread that all the aibs have been mentioned but EVGA?.
Apparently there's some on the way to UK, but evga won't say where or how much. Pretty much silent on that front.

Plus side is, I've seen a lot of people cancel their evga, and I'm happy to wait it out, so hopefully I'm moving up the queue

I've ordered from them... Their updates or lack of and constant lies to me regarding my order have been somewhat poor. Gibbo has excelled in his updates in comparison to ****.

My experience with them has been different. Ordered the 3090 yesterday, expected shipping date of 5th Oct on the site. Received an email from S*** last night confirming shipping date and received a further update today with general news and information regarding the preorders etc. Compared to OCUK, they've told me more in one day, than I have learned in over a week from OCUK.

I've just picked up the 27 inch 165Hz 1440p Dell - 27 inch 4k seems like a waste and I don't have desk space for a 32 inch + screen. I may get a 4k TV to replace the 1080p one that I currently use if I want big screen gaming.
Can you give me the model number mate ?

A "number in the queue" wouldn't tell you much though. If it's #1, yeah sure, you might be next. But without knowing when a shipment for that comes, you don't know much more do you? If you're #100, does that give any insight whatever beyond that it'll probably take some time, but without knowing how many shipments there are going to be, when, and at what sizes, you wouldn't know when that #100 might end up being shipped. And if it's #1000, well all you know is that it's going to take time - no news there.

Basically, I don't see how this number in the queue adds much in the way of value.
Yes it would help. Not necessarily to know your exact number but to be able to track how this number changes let say on weekly basis... If u don't understand it than can't explain it better sorry

Any news at all on the EVGA cards? Literally no information on these cards yet and thinking of cancelling now as I have just managed to pre order a Ps5, 2 controllers and 3 games with 70 quid left over for the price of this graphics card. It's left me with a huge dilemma!

Well, I can understand that a number getting progressively slower will help, but you don't need that number right now if it's going to take weeks anyway, so what's the rush?

Also, personally I can wait, I'm okay with my Eagle coming after the 23rd of October, may need to cancel that order still.

Yes, there is news and that is: they are prioritising the NA market.

OCUK are treading on previously accumulated good faith in their company. As another customer frustrated with their candour - I couldn't help but ashamedly wince upon reading that other retailers in the same boat are faring much better by way of transparency.
