I really hope i'm not in that queue in 3 weeks time.

To be honest it wont matter which retailer you ordered with, with the only cards coming in via air freight and the national holidays next week, I have seen it posted from many sources that these cards wont arrive in quantity until the end of October.

By quantity i mean retailers getting more than 100 of a particular card.

So I am working on the basis that unless you got one that was in stock on launch day or you are very high up in the queue so the odd dribs and drabs coming in over the next few weeks, dont expect your card until the end of October.

Gibbos said, depending on how many was ordered of each model, anybody ordering after 4pm wont perhaps see their card until November.

Even Scan said they pulled their pre orders once they got to the end of November delivery dates.

EVGA are unlikely to even start delivering any cards until November to the UK.

Just sit and wait. Or change your order to an unpopular card like Palit.

To be honest the more 'dramatic' posts are from new forum members / first time customers.
OCUK will probably never see them again after they get their cards or cancel.

honestly, i'm a lapsed OCUK customer. used to order from them regularly until a slightly iffy experience the best part of a decade ago. they fulfilled their obligations but didn't exactly make me feel like a valued customer.

i went with them for my 3080 because they were the only place that i could get an order for the AIB card i wanted through. whether i come back to them long term will be largely based on this experience.

i'm sure OCUK wouldn't miss me if this all turns out to leave a sour taste, but this 3080 launch is a massive opportunity to give those who just default to the tree site or another rival a good impression that keeps them coming back for return sales, due to people being forced out of their regular haunts due to product scarcity.

i like to think i'm an empathetic to their difficulties and being frank about supply issues is something i'd understand, being completely shut out in the dark less so. especially now i've found out that the delays processing my amazon payment (something completely out of my hands) has now bumped me further down the queue.

Just been on the phone, not much new news to speak of on the EVGA cards, but i said as scan appears to be getting some tomorrow is it likely they will be shipping to everyone, he agreed its reasonable to assume they should be getting some obviously no promises.
and for the watch dogs legion codes they come when your order gets shipped out.

2 to 3 weeks before we see an official queue system are you compiling the data on one of these

Okay, but what I mean is wouldn't they ensure it could provide enough power in this case 300w from that rail as they included a cable that in theory would be pulling that much? And if I look at the side of the PSU it only has 1 12v? Sorry for noob questions I might take this over to a different PSU forum.

Cause guy that answered You was misinforming you. You got good psu with 1 rail that can pull 2x3080 no problem. Just run 2 cables from psu to gpu not 1 split apart

Even as someone who's been having a chuckle at all the hysteria and expectations that OC should be able to see into the future, this is wearing a bit thin now. For the amount of money we've all dropped it wouldn't kill them to keep up *some* small amount of communication with us as a gesture of goodwill. A quick 'sorry guys we're as clueless as you are' every few days would make it seems less like they've had our cash and now we can **** off.

OK, I need a bit of advice. I've built PC's for years, but always seek help from more experienced folk than me, and here there is a whole bunch of you. So here is my question:

Would I be wise to upgrade my current PSU - Modular high-end Corsair 750W

System overview:

Purchased 3090 (EVGA X3OC from S*** coming 5th Oct) - did have a 3080 but cancelled and waiting on a refund (for some time now). Previous GPU was a EVGA 2080ti

AMD Threadripper 1950X
Aurus 399X MB
AIO Water cooling
4 x Nvme 1TB SSD
32GB Corsaire 3600 mhz RAM
Samsung Odyssey 49" Monitor

The PC is used for 4K video production: Adobe PP & DaVinci Resolve

Gaming: Sim Racing, Flights Sim and Index VR

Any other recommended upgrades?

Its not the pau that will give up but it might melt the cables as its close to the limit the wires can handle.

Hello how ya doing man ?? Dont tell me ya waiting for 3080 also. We could use social distanced meetup.
I’m good thanks matey, I wanted one but all of this crap storm has made me hang on to my 1080ti.

Hopefully we can have a socially distanced meet again soon. :)

Just give us a queue system and we'll shut up. It's a trivial problem. Not exactly rocket science.
Maybe so but its not just as simple as here is the system, they have a business to run for a start and they also have to make sure that their data privacy obligations are adhered to.

Besides when it does appear you'll only be more annoyed because you're further down the queue than you thought.

Ordered at 14:03 payment cleared at 14:03:37 :D

Actually the payment confirmation was at 14:04:37 for a Zotac, apparently they had a few shipments in but who knows what the deal is :D

Hello,
You sent a payment of £709.49 GBP to OcUK Limited"

Similar to my build buddy and have the same thing missing! Went Lian Li case and AIO though. Ordered the Vision to maintain the black and white (with silver accents) finish.
Yep, I kind of think I should have ordered the ASUS Prime AM4 board now though. Still really happy with it though. Just got to get the Corsair RGB hub setup (when I can get in to Windows).
