The edge.
I just checked my emails. I used Amazon pay. I got an email from Overclockers instantly saying that my Amazon pay order had been authorised. However Amazon only sent me an email that payment was complete at 2.23am the following day. Does this mean I was in the queue from the time of ordering or from the time Amazon got off their arse and completed the payment?
From ***** to ******. Paid with Paypal but payment was only taken/processed on Wednesday of the following week (ordered on Friday). Combined with this queue swap nonsense, I'm royally screwed.
I hope those CS reps were talking out of their arse and the queue jumpers get put to the end of the queue. Would serve them right for trying to be cheeky.
So I just got off the phone with OCuk.
According to OCuk they process orders by time of payment received, so people who ordered early during the first and second day after launch will find, because it took their servers a long time to process full payment, people's order que will be pushed back many days after the day they ordered, it's a mess quite honestly.
Payment received or payment confirmed? Because received could be whenever the order time is on the out of stock email.
By the info they gave to me,only the order number is influenced by the payment process time. And since they also confirmed that I joined the queue the moment of order placment even thoue my payment went thrue 2 days later
My payment didn't finish processing till about 1:20am the following morning so RIP me I guess.
Absolutely no way they are shafting Amazon UK Payments by delaying their queue position until the payment was approved. I'm sorry that Amazon wasn't immediate but due know they got my order at a certain time. I'm praying I'm not shafted.
To me it seems like there's a distinction between approval and completion, though I'm not sure which one OC are going by.
I also paid through amazon, and received a payment authorisation email from OC at 15:17 on the 17th when I placed my order. (MSI Gaming X)
I didn't receive confirmation from amazon until 00:55 on the 18th.
My assumption is that OC acknowledged payment at the time of order and my place in the queue starts there - the alternative is UNFATHOMABLE
Same as you, payment authorisation email at 15:16 for a MSI gaming X. I hope your reasoning is correct![]()
Like Yer way of doing things . Instead of whining and moaning on forums like rest You actually went and gotten information for rest. MY MANSorry for the mass quoting, but I feel it may be relevant to all the above. I asked in the customer support forum the following:
"
I have just seen on the relevant thread that positions are assigned not based on when orders are placed, and payment is held/started, but when the payment is actually fully processed. For e.g that in my case for order
Order Number: [ SNIP ]
Date ordered: 17/09/2020 15:10:23
Payment Method: Amazon_Payments
Shipping Method: DPD Two Day
that my position would not be based on the 15:10:23 on the 17th, which is when Amazon said the transaction had started, but rather 00:31 on the 18th when amazon said the transaction had completed. Can you please confirm this?"
and received the following response:
"Q positions are based upon date/time ordered - your position will be based off the following: Date ordered: 17/09/2020 15:10:23 "
So it looks like it's when the payment is started, not when it is completed. Hope it puts your minds at ease!

Yes but you could be less due to the math / cancellations so maybe 600? Who knows.Hey sorry if this is not the right place to ask but I just tried the unofficial queue calculator. It says queue number: 1065 for the Asus Tuf (non oc). Does this mean there are over 1,000 orders before me for the same card?
