It's not a good day to be in the 3080 queue...

Yeah competitor sites that I can't name here, are listing delays on their delivery schedule page for 3080's MSI orders delayed about 2 weeks and EVGA delayed a week. This is going to be super painful, despite ordering around 4pm on the 17th I fully expect at this stage that I'll be lucky to see the card inside of 2020. These small deliveries of 50 cards or less at most once a week is going to take one or two quaters to actually get through just the pre orders so far in the UK, this is a really serious mess. Quite frustrated with this now.

Its order now for an Earliest January delivery here in Sweden.... Sod that.......

THat's not even guaranteed.

i've ordered a zotac myself and really hoping they come quickly but I personally feel that zotac are in the worse place atm and i feel they will recall there products and not put them on sale till new stock is made (for obvious reasons cant mention it here as post will be deleted) so im strongly thinking on cancelling my pre order due to i feel stock will be held and new card made. I hope im wrong

Knowing Zotac that won't be till after Christmas. Really hope that isn't the case because I had planned on getting the 3080 ready for Cyberpunk :c

To get a card higher in value, you must lose your queue position. You can switch to a cheaper card and join the queue there and get the difference refunded. But you can't go cheaper to more expensive and pay the difference.
Not true. See below.

Hi, I'm a queue-switcher. I agree it's a dumb system but works in my favour, so I used it.

Here's my confirmations side-by-side. I was told by three different members of staff (two on Discord, and a third on the phone when paying the difference in price), that I'd be keeping my queue position based on my order number and time - you can see on the invoices that they're the same on old and new.

I agree it's an odd stance, and I don't like the idea of people switching just to get their card sooner. I switched for a number of reasons but will probably get the card later as a result - not by much, but a little later. I'm also higher up in the ASUS queue than I was in the Gigabyte one, which suggests less people ordered ASUS than Gigabyte, although not sure if that's useful or relevant.

NOT true. As I said in my previous post. It is payment method dependant. I paid by PP. Topped up with debit card *I switched due to specs not for que spot. I ordered on the 19th anyway

Not that I really care but I feel as if the time ordered should determine the placement in the new queue.

So if Sally (good ol' Sally) bought the MSI Trio OC at 14:21 and swapped to Asus TUF OC, anyone who had pre-ordered before her should still be placed in front.

Not weird at all, there is no useful information in that message from the OCUK perspective.

Anything less than confirmed tracking from local distribution doesn't rate a mention and even that is suspect until it actually arrives at the warehouse door and has been checked in so they know which versions of the cards they have received and how many of them.

It is easy for the manufacturers to deflect questions with vague promises, OCUK would prefer to deal with certainties and I don't blame them for that.

Seriously stop with the brown nosing man
At least they can give information, actually they will tell you to contact your retailer for more detailed info, which we also don't see

This good enough for you

This order changing thing is bad form. I'm sure it's good for OC's margins but maybe they didn't consider/are unconcerned with customer retention. Maybe why they are yet to release the much anticipated official queue calculator.

I am really disgusted by being able to swap queues and keep your original order time... mmm ok let me look see what i can change too so to be able to get a card sooner.. joking of course .. BAD MOVE OCUK!!!!

Feel the same, this swapping is complete BS. Was on the OC site from before 2PM on the 17th but as the cards went live I couldn't get the site to load for many attempts. I had work in the afternoon so couldn't sit there for hours refreshing and it was late evening before I managed to get an order in. I don't mind waiting my turn to get a card but seeing as the TUF is looking to be the better of the cards there could potentially be thousands jumping in the queue before me by switching cards.

Not so sure that holds up now after all the cancellations, and obviously very card dependent.
still holds man if they sold like 7k cards calcellations wuill be for lets say 3000 thats still 4000 cards if it was 30 a day like its going off thats 2021

I don't know what card you ordered but, join team Eagle, no one wants to join us and we always have snacks and beer over here.

I do like beer and snacks.....

but then I would be as bad as the other queue jumpers and I'm not gonna lower my self to that kind of shady behavior
Shhhh... don’t encourage them, they’ll jump in front of us in the queue!

You ain't gotta worried about that cuz I didn't order till Sunday night (my first order was 15:47 on the 17 but instead of being a asshat I canceled.. waited for refund and reordered different card

I am in the queue (pretty much plumb last) for an Aorus Xtreme 3080 - to pair with my expensive X570 Aorus Xtreme - with 2 weeks till they think about a first shipment (with possible delays) its looking like Dec/Jan time for the card. No clue how popular that order was here at OC ........... ahh well my 1080ti will keep me going i suppose :/

I wonder if you feel the same way with someone who queues for McDonalds and orders a BigMac, then changes their mind and orders a Chicken Sandwich, do you feel they should go to the back of the queue or be allowed to change their order whilst maintaining their queue position?

Did anyone here get some notifications about having their TUF OCs shipped? We now the MSIs went on, but what about the Asus card
