As much I want to use a case, every time I use the phone without one it feels so right. The cases I've used so far have detracted from the look and feel. I guess going nude is fine as I have AppleCare+.

I was planning to go with applecare but it doesn’t cover cosmetic damage, so a dozen drops that leave your phone scraped to hell but usable won’t be fixed. And yes I’m aware that some people will just smash it off a wall at that point.

So a few hrs of using my iPhone 12 pro with the official Apple leather case. Have to say it’s quite a nice case, it’s a tight fit and the phone just kinda snaps into it. You get a nice little animation when the case goes on, depending on the colour of the case it changes on the homescreen.
As I said the case is pretty tight around the phone, not sure it will loosen up over time. But taking the phone out of the case takes a bit of effort.

All in all quite like the case, it does add a bit of bulk to the phone itself. The leather is quite nice. Is it worth £60?? No but then I saved myself a tenner by getting it from Amazon.
Was contemplating on getting a MagSafe charger from Apple but I’m going to wait to see what 3rd party MagSafe chargers will be out soon. So will have to do with good ole wired charging at the moment.

My iphone 12 works perfectly on a normal wireless charger with the apple leather case on.

Mines still processing according to the website, with a delivery date of 6th-11th November..

Given today is the 9th you'd think they would at least shift one of those dates....

Yes it works perfectly fine with my Belkin wireless charger.

All iPhone 12 shoot in 4K Dolby vision, but only the pro can do 60fps, others are 30fps.

The mini has the same specs as the normal 12.

There's a really good model comparison on the Apple site now, I don't know how long it's been there but it's dead handy. Have a shufti here.

It'll be one of the USA times that it's lifted.

Will a 12 Pro bought in the US work in the UK, taking into account 5G frequencies etc? My mrs is cabin crew so goes to the US quite often and she wants a new phone.

I assume so, depending on which network she is in here they probably have roaming agreements in place. Also she would need to make sure the phone is unlocked so that she can use it here.
She may not get 5G but at the very least she would get 4G. 5G is pretty sketchy at the moment in America from what I have been reading.

And service might yet be limited to the country of purchase. I.e if it breaks, it might not be replaceable outside of the U.S, but not sure on this fact.

The US device has more bands than ours so should work fine, Apple also have world wide support. As long as it’s unlocked it should work fine.

I’d be pretty careful. Looooong list is bands for the different countries here:

It’s not that it won’t work, but it won’t be ideal.
