Nor does Peter McKinnon or Dave Lee, both say it's not worth the extra money for the minimal improvement.

Was waiting for these reviews to drop because I fancied a bigger phone and Google didn't release an XL this year and their camera's now stuck in the past. Was hoping for a massive jump in camera quality so will probably keep my 3 XL for another year.

Just ordered the Graphite iPhone 12 Pro 256GB with a black Apple leather case.
£245 trade in on my iPhone X
ships: 24/11—1/12
Will choose a screen protector to go with it (I need one with a fool proof applicator/template)

I fitted an esr full screen glass screen protector on my 12 pro, comes with a plastic tray to align the protector properly,

They are around £7 for 3 on Amazon.

Hope this helps

Cheers all

Reviews are pretty disappointing tbh, oh well I needed to replace the X regardless. Still it feels like this will be the first iPhone I only keep for a year as we'll surely get everything 'missing' from this year in 2021?

He’s comparing shots in good lighting of course a sensor that lets in more light isn’t going to make much of a difference in good lighting.

The Verge clearly shows sharper, more detailed night mode photos, or cases where the Max doesn’t need to engage night mode or can do so for less time.

10% better camera
Bigger screen
Bigger battery

£100 more for the pro max over the pro.

I reckon its worth the extra £100

People with the 12, anyone come from an X? Impressions on the upgrade?

I've gone from the X to the 12 Pro, biggest thing I've noticed is much better battery life (my X was rated 96%) but the thing is damn heavy. Speed wise it's nippier but makes you realise how the X isn't actually that slow.

Oh and camera is better as well but yea in hindsight probably would had waited.

Noticeably heavier than the X? Or a “getting used to it heavier” I thought the X was heavy going from the 6S but got used to it. The new normal:-) I’m upgrading to the 12 Pro from the X (84% battery, after 3 years).

I’d be pretty careful. Looooong list is bands for the different countries here:

https://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/cellular/

It’s not that it won’t work, but it won’t be ideal.

Looking at that list the UK 5G bands look to be included in the US versions. The US ones in fact have further 5G bands the UK version does not, unless I'm reading it wrong.

I've historically bought iPhones in the US and had absolutely no issues with compatibility over here.
