Final Fantasy VII - "Remake"

Yeah 6hrs seems to be what people are averaging for the story. You've also got the extra on top such as VR battles and what not.

I'm about an hour and a half in, so that's disappointing to read. But I'm taking my time with everything, doing all the side missions, Fort Condor mini game, talking to every NPC I find, etc.

Realising it might be a long while until Part II releases I'm trying to savour every last drop of this game.

Just finished my 2nd play through on hard this time. Combat is really fun, the box challenge really helped get the hang of it.
Time to try the extra vr bosses in the main game, hopefully I can remember the combos for Tifa.

Just started playing it and was wondering if I should change the voiceover to Japanese? Some of the characters body language doesn't fit the english dub.

I've downloaded my upgraded, downloaded my save data and the trophies popped but hard mode isn't unlocked? I was half way through my hard run and held off for the ps5 version, was going to start again. Am I doing something wrong?

My save game is working in hard mode but it's not unlocked in the options menu, strange, oh well I can do it from chapter select if I need to

I take it the free PS+ version cannot be upgraded as it’s locked for me ?

If you want to buy it today, I think the cheapest way is to buy a second hand copy from CEX for £22 and then it'll give you the upgrade for free, if you want the DLC that's an extra £15. Still, it's better than paying £70 for a digital copy.

I think it's a crock we have to buy the game again to get the PS5 upgrade. I understand paying for the DLC but the upgrade should be for free to PS+ users too. Hopefully give it 6 months to a year andthey'll unlock it for PS+ users.

Honestly though, I'm in no rush to play it until the rest of the game is made and released so it could be a number of years before I play any of it.

I never played it on PS4 but in no rush to play I’m not a big jrpg game person but heard good things about this. I might give the PS4 version a go see what it’s about.

Not quite sure why you feel that a software house, having spent time and money on an upgrade, should give that away to everyone who was given a free license for the PS4 version for as long as they have a PS+ subscription.
I mean, anyone who has bought the game, sure - they have shown their support. Even those buying second hand, that original purchase still went to supporting the game and it's not as if every pair of hands that copy has passed through all get this free upgrade.
But to feel so entitled to "free stuff" when no purchase of the original has been made.....well, I guess that is the world we live in.

Loads of studios have been given their PS4 games free upgrades. Several from the PS+ and PS Collection that we got for free. SqE are the ones bucking the trend, not the other way round.

So I just need to buy the ps4 version of this game and just stick it inside my ps5 and it will work and play at 60fps 4k

Was a cracking game, got the platinum trophy on the PS4, not entirely fussed on the upgrade though, I'll just wait for part 2

I've finished the Yuffie DLC, took me about 6 hours and I took my time with a few elements of the game.

Hard mode for Fort Condor seems... impossible? I think I'm getting the hang of it but I've played like 15 games and only won once. I didn't play during the normal mode, but even if I take more towers than my opponent I still lose. Will look into some guides and such as I'm clearly not doing well...

Did I lose out on any pieces/boards by not playing it on normal?

It amazes me that someone who put in the hours to platinum a game isn't fussed about these fantastic upgrades.

No hate at all, I'm just very surprised!
