Thread re-opened and off to a great start. Hope the mods aren't too hung over.
never heard of him before, quick cursory reading of his history says we wouldn't agree on most things. not my mp. condolences to the family and so. not to be disrepctful but theres bigger more important things happening atm and our news media could make a note.
Please go and make a thread and discuss these other important things. The murder of an elected representative is a big deal and should be discussed, as it seems it's not a rare event and it is almost as though we are now at a point of not wondering if it will happen again, but when, if nothing changes in terms of protection (screens like at the Post Office, online surgeries, armed police?), the riling up of hate (on all sides) and preventing extremism (of all flavours).
If MPs are fearful then those "bigger, more important things" won't quite be focused on the way that they should. Also, this guy was doing the little things, talking and listening to his constituents, they still matter a great deal and are a great deal of importance to them. Please don't be ignorant to how big and important this was and is.
