Eternals (2021) - 8/10

Another thoroughly enjoyable superhero movie with superb special effects and action scenes, epic battles and world-threatening villains.

The style and plot of the movie is different; it’s a lot more mature and emotionally driven, focusing on the characters and the role of humanity on the planet, but still has a few lighter moments and it never felt long.

Great acting from the varied cast, especially Chan as the lead, but I’m not sure how it will stand out as being memorable in the years to come.

Quantum of Solace / Skyfall.

Still enjoying the Craig Bond films though maybe due to being brought up with Moore and Connery, I guess no one can truly replace them.

So far, I have preferred Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace over Skyfall.
I appreciate only too well that these sorts of films are meant to be a bit cheesy and over the top, however, I particularly like it when, on occasion,
a film of this sort doesn't go down that route quite so much and, therefore, isn't as ridiculous in that regard at least compared to some other movies.
Skyfall, however, went the other way as far as I was concerned, but was still entertaining if nothing else. I'll get around to Spectre soon enough.

I finally watched Nobody last night and i gotta say its damn good!

Some parts were bland but the action scenes and the badassness is good! The build up to it was.. a little slow but once you get into the main action it just gets you going.

7/10 from me!

Finch 6/10
I usually enjoy a Tom Hanks film but I found the robot in this really hard to care about, the voice is just annoying and the film doesn't really go anywhere.

Bone Tomahawk - 2015

Been on my list to watch for ages, thought it looked great, the characters and script were great and I was totally drawn in for what was quite a simple setup. The ending was actually even more shocking than expected and I had heard it was not for those with a weak stomach. A simple formulae but brilliant execution, a film that wasn't scared to do it's own thing and follow it's convictions.

Yep Skyfall is the worst of the Craig films, when it came out and was getting 5/5 and 10/10 I was dumbfounded.

I've seen people saying words like masterpiece and classic about No Time To Die and it baffles me, were people just so desperate for a new movie they lost all critical thinking?

Skyfall has a lot of issues but I find it a more enjoyable watch than Spectre or NTTD oddly.

Paranormal activity next of kin 3/10
Thought the first one was fairly decent as this type of film goes, but they have progressively deteriorated with each sequel. This one is an absolute turd. Don't bother.

So I watched this on Saturday and didn't find it as bad as expected, maybe as Halloween Kills had dulled my senses and anything by comparison would seem good on the horror front. ;)

There were definitely moments I was almost shouting at the screen to do things differently and logic was out the window but I perversely kind of enjoyed it. I'd give it maybe a 5.5 or 6/10 if i'm being generous, the atmosphere and imagery appealed to me and I did like the outro setup for the inevitable sequels.

I certainly liked it more than Ghost Dimension.

Halloween kills must be unbelievably bad :p I was actually considering watching that until I read some of the opinions on this thread. Will be giving it a miss now for sure :p

Not been many decent horror films lately though. Probably one of the better ones has been the night house. Thought that was pretty good.

I don't have the words to go into it without resorting to profanity, I have high tolerance of mediocre horror and even I couldn't finish it. Please give it a go, just so we can see how you get on, eagerly await your post on it. :D

It's an excellent film, nice well paced story, great performances and beautiful scenery as well.

Have you seen Hell or High Water? Along with this and Sicario, it's unofficially part of Taylor Sheridans American Frontier trilogy.

Just quoting this as I never miss an opportunity to repeat just how good Sicario is, often get a lot of confused looks or comments like 'really?' :D
any one not listing Sicario as one their mostest favouritist films ever needs their head looking at. unless of course they are mixing the first up with the second cause the second really can **** off and choke to death on it's on vomit in a corner.

I think you should really say what you feel about part 2, don't hold it back mate! :D
