The fact that Max's onboard has mysteriously disappeared or cannot be found really does not look good for the FIA etc
Toto is spitting feathers in the post-race interview as well - can't say I blame him

Also Red Bull going straight to Masi is rather suspect

One dnf and it swings. The RB seems pretty reliable, but it’s going to be an interesting 3 races. Can merc maintain this pace? Cue RB protests.

you were saying it was all over just a day or two ago. Very quickly changing your tune even though not much has changed in the championship now. Lewis has clawed back 2 points, but there are less races left.

I don't think we will ever see the forward footage, its gone missing forever and stinks of corruption..

I gave it 5/10. Seemed inevitable that Lewis was always going to win given the speed advantage his car had and how powerful DRS was

Why? Thought that was pretty standard. Didn't Toto call him soon after their crash at Silverstone saying to check his email?

Missing footage does sound dodgy but things go wrong all the time (just look at Lewis' wing being fine before the quali only to be broken after) so hopefully it's just a coincidence rather than some shady dealings in the background. I'd hope they have all the other data from the car from which they could see what happened.

They don't need the camera as they have the telemetry from the steering wheel angles in relation to the cars position on the track, and much more. Look Lewis won, he had the fastest car by some 20kph so it was inevitable he would overtake everyone in front of him. It was only Max who put up a 'spirited' defence, all others just threw in the towel so just let them race and forget the media politics..

I don't really understand the fuss over whether or not they had the footage, I can't see how they needed it one way or the other. I like to see the drivers race, but that racing needs to be fair. Max is far too dirty and dangerous, IMO. It wasn't just Lewis, he would also have hit Bottas at the start if Bottas hadn't yielded, and we've seen it over and over through this season culminating in the Silverstone collision when Lewis had enough. Giving the other driver the choice between a crash or being run a mile off the road isn't fair racing. I'd have rather seen a penalty simply because I want Max to stop driving that way, and penalties are the only way he's going to change his ways. For me the back and forth battle with Pérez was the more engaging battle, whilst also being totally clean and fair racing.

But, end of the day, despite everything Lewis won, so I don't care to argue the toss over it.

A spirited defence is not pushing someone off the road and then weaving down the straight, he should have had a 5-10 second penalty, but the FIA once again bottled it, while he’s allowed to keep getting away with things like this he will never learn, he’s a danger and will cause a bad accident sooner or later

How did Hamilton win, I thought he was disquallified?

Disqualified from Qualifying, so his pole didn't count and he started the Sprint Quali from the back of the grid. The Sprint Quali allowed him to pass up to 5th, so he started the race in 10th with his engine penalty.

And yet Bottas with an equally powerful DRS didn't come breezing by the two Red Bulls, and Lando's McLaren which is also pretty quick in a straight line (to a level where Lewis has had issues passing in previous races) wasn't carving through the field after his first lap puncture either.

It certainly didn't look inevitable once Lewis got to 2nd and then couldn't get the gap down below 3.5 seconds and things stayed pretty stable after the first pit stops as well.

Neither Bottas or Lando had a brand new power unit though? Might be wrong but sure it was mentioned on the C4 commentary during the Sprint race that Hamilton had something like a 10kph advantage over Bottas, and it was strongly suggested that this was due to Lewis fresh power unit being "turned up to the limit" (or conversely everyone else's older units being turned down slightly due to wear)
