Kyle Rittenhouse - teen who shot three people in Kenosha

That's almost a whole country written out the rulebook then? :p

Good commentary from Pakman on this trial.

Good commentary from Pakman on this trial.

Pakman is someone who is usually reasonable, but has lost it when it comes to this case. He goes on and on about gun culture, failing to acknowledge that the rioting was the primary cause of the violence. The legal experts unanimously say the judge is not wacky or biased. Pakman at the end of the day is a left wing commentator with no legal qualifications. He's an anti-gun fanatic who is grasping at straws to try to criticise anyone right of centre. I mean seriously complaining about the judge talking about food, wtf?

I follow a number of commentators these days and Pakman's views are often fair/balanced. He will dish out criticism to either side of all current affairs generally too which is not too common these days.

From a legal standpoint sure the judge has been fine, there'd be a big uproar online if that wasn't the case. The commentary in context though is about the strange jokes and words the judge has used so far that don't really have anything to do with the case like the Asian food ordered being stuck on a boat somewhere as it's delayed - Like what does that have to do with anything? Is it a hidden message? Probably not, but stuff like that is used as ammunition by either side of any party. You expect a certain level of professionalism from someone like that but then again the whole world has been treated to a child-like attitude from the highest power in the USA for some years so maybe none of this matters much anyway.

Pakman is correct though, the kid will almost certainly walk from a murder charge. Some of the smaller charges as mentioned though hold solid ground. It doesn't help that his mum is going on Fox News doing interviews with Hannity saying that this is something he'd do again if it happened, rather than advising him not to because as mentioned in another video comment "look at what it has put us though, let's not repeat that". He has been turned into a hero though as a byproduct of making him the victim on networks like Fox News as per the above.

re: the judge - pope hat is generally pretty left-wing but also a lawyer or former lawyer and happy to call out BS about the judge getting angry or being biased because he's gone off one etc.. what the prosecutors did re: trying to mention something that had been specifically objected to, for example, was unsurprisingly going to get the judge wound up:

And a public defender:

etc...

You don't need to be a gun nut to know you never ever point a gun at someone and you definitely don't have your finger on the trigger.

Unless you're genuinely willing to shoot them.

I'm not completely sure that the reason was that the lawyer was clueless about firearms. It might have been done intentionally to provoke a fear response in the jury as part of a way of swaying them.

Yep.

Yet another failure of the US justice system.

Same with judges appointed by whatever administration is in power.

You did know that the UK gov appoint the judges?

It's bad in the US when a troll like binder runs for democratic office and fails.

From Wikipedia:

Under the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 the Judicial Appointments Commission has removed the appointment of judges from the overtly political arena. High Court judges, as with other judges, are appointed on open competition.

High Court judges, as with all judges in England and Wales, hold office during good behaviour; this is laid down in the Bill of Rights 1689. This gives them greater security of tenure than if they held office during His or Her Majesty's pleasure and is designed to protect their independence. A High Court judge can only be removed by the Queen upon an Address of both Houses of Parliament.

"Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_of_the_Supreme_Court_of_the_United_Kingdom

"The number of judges is set by s.23(2) Constitutional Reform Act 2005, which established the Court, but may be increased by the Queen through an Order in Council under s.23(3). There are currently 12 positions: one President, one Deputy President, and 10 Justices. Judges of the Court who are not already peers are granted the style Lord or Lady for life"

So a bit of both.

In my opinion.
Any prosecutor that runs for a political office (like binder) should be fired.

Jees, just seen the picture of that lawyer with the AR. What a muppet.
Even with a gun you think is clear, you never, ever, point it at someone or put your finger inside the trigger guard unless you intend to fire. The fact that he's done those things shows that he's not trained enough in firearms handling to know whether the gun is clear for himself, thus making it even worse.

Be honest deuse you just hate everyone who isn't right wing.

Again. Getting things wrong and calling names.
That's all your mob ever do...so 2019!
And you missed where I said
"In my opinion.

Waiting for your none name calling come back.
