Prince Andrew not served papers as they were handed to his police security.

I'm inclined to a similar opinion these days. The royal family bring nothing but embarrassment to this country now. Andrew is a vile self entitled creature indeed.

Only problem is, what is the alternative to the monarchy? In all likelihood, it would end up being worse :(
That's hard to say. I think the current queen has been very good at the role as she has stayed out of politics. But we have no idea how Charlie or Willy would act. I think Willly and Katie seem to be going in the right direction and are the only two members of that family that are. Everyone else is a cluster ****.

The Monarchy is a visible example of the UK's stability. We haven't had a revolution since 1688, couple of failed rebellions. We have charted the waters of revolution, reform and democracy without the bloodletting of our continental cousins and we haven't fallen to either of the calamities of facism or communism. Long may we have a constitutional monarchy I say, because on the basis of the last 330+ years anything else is likely to be worse.

And? There's no proof there at all.

There’s no proof that he continued to be friends with and pal around with Epstein post conviction? Because there are a lot.

And?

And tax payer money, a lot of it, and this cannot cannot be reiterated enough, that your beloved queen has spent it so her son doesn't have to face any consequences for his proximity to one of the biggest paedophilia and child sex trafficking cases in history.

So we've paid for it considering all their money comes from us in one form or another. I really hope we can rid ourselves of these sponges when the queen pops her clogs.

correct, just like when the platoon paid for Pyle sneaking a Jam Doughnut in his footlocker. The only difference here is that we can't batter the everloving crap out of Prince Noncedrew with bars of soap in a towel................................

How does that relate to proof of the allegations?

The amount of money wasted by the gov is more of a concern to me.

Also, is she not your "beloved queen" too?

It doesn't require a revolution to move to being a republic. We can simply have an elected non political president as head of state. Can we really not come up with a citizen who the country respects once every 5 years to represent us for visiting foreign dignitaries and to open the odd building/event? If that is the case we really are in a sorry state.

We cant manage it at election time..

We struggle to come up with a PM the country respects, so no.

Ok you up for picking up a gun and fighting?

Because if you are not, please SHUT THE **** UP

That is different, they are politicians. We wouldn't be changing from a parliamentary democracy, we'll still have a PM as head of government. The president will be non political. Would anyone have objected to say David Attenborough as our president? Though he might struggle to not get involved in politics from an environmental standpoint. Still, there are some citizens the public universally respects. It has to be better once the Queen dies than this bunch of toffs, sponging off us in a life of ridiculous luxury for no other reason than being born in the right cot. We can do better.

I don't think the outcome calls into question Giuffre's original motivation. Everyone has principles but everyone is human. You might be tempted to compromise on something if someone waved £12m at you.

Also Andrew has been utterly humiliated in the eyes of the world, his relationship with Epstein and Maxwell highlighted, stripped of ranks and titles and forced from public life. She may not have had her day in court, but she knows that Andrew's reputation/legacy has been trashed and his personal brand is now toxic. Combined with a huge pay out that probably feels a lot like winning to Giuffre.
