However if Putin simply wants something and shakes the tactical nuclear button then he should be under no doubt of the response.

Putin needs to know that a first strike - tactical or not - is just that. A first strike.

For Putin that seems to be that he owns the lives of those on his territory, thus taking a tactical nuke is something he can do. This promotes the chess moves - it involves the status of the attacked country.

1. An sovereign ex-soviet state is not part of NATO or Russia.
2. A first strike by Russia as a tactical weapon is not a first strike on NATO.
3. NATO can't 'retaliatory' nuclear tactical strike because adds more destruction to the sovereign state, nor can they retaliatory strike Russian territories as this is a first strike.

The point here is that the neutral status of the sovereign country allows the attack by Putin but doesn't allow the engage/retaliatory strikes. It's cold logic.

This is why Putin wants a buffer zone of those states and proceeds to throw his toys in the event they show the desire to join NATO/EU.

If those states joined NATO then any tactical nuke aggression would be a first strike by Putin on NATO, and the game of chess is checkmate. If Putin goes to nuclear then he simply imitates his own destruction.

Yes Putin basically has carte blanche on his nuclear capabilities in many non-NATO countries and as NATO expands then his trump card becomes less powerful.

I can believe him being prepared to use it, but I don't think using it on Ukraine would be in his interests as he could just go the thermobaric and FOAB route and have the same level of destruction.

It's the countries that have supported Ukraine with lethal weapons that are outside NATO who are the most vulnerable. Countries like Canada and Australia that respresent the West but don't have the safety net of NATO. They could be made an example of by Putin.

There are other defensive agreements like AUKUS between Australia, UK and USA. But let's say Russia used a nuclear submarine on Australia because they supplied Ukraine with $50 million in lethal weapons. UK and USA can't attack Russia because that is a first strike. They could perhaps defend as a symbolic gesture but I think there would be little they could do.

Yea i mean China was accused of developing Covid in a lab and Russia went on a rampage and poisoned multiple people abroad with something developed in a lab, i wonder why they are both trying to do this, hmm head scratch.....
Probably best not to detour into covid discussion on this thread.

No, please show me them. Photos or some official website of the biolab would be great.

There are US funded labs (at least 1) in Ukraine but the insinuation from "biolabs" is probably incorrect. They are just normal labs looking at pathogens.

I'm pretty sure KRH are based in Tidworth. Maybe they are going home? If they have been down there they may have been using the ranges?

Just had a chat with a good friend in KRH; they are fully worked up and will be heading to Poland in (his words) non ***** wagons unlike the lads in Estonia

That's a great video. He's saying the kinda things about the nuclear issue that I've been saying from day 1. Right now, there's little threat of Putin nuking somewhere, but that's only because there's fresh terror each day and the war is sort of going to plan. The Ukrainians will lose eventually. If it tips the other way and Russian progress gets properly bogged down, Putin will nuke somewhere. He'll do it because it will do two things. Firstly it will mean an immediate Ukrainian surrender. Secondly it will scare the bejesus out of everyone and Putin will get a moment of utter shock to exploit.

I think this fella has it entirely right about it not being an invasion of Ukraine too. It just happens to be Ukraine, but Putin is really fighting the US and the West.

It wont mean an immediate Ukraine surrender. They wont give up or give in. No matter what.

Puty will NEVER win. Even if he controls 100% of Ukraine! His days are numbered.

Guys don't feed the trolls please, there are now many of them in this topic.

True. One of my receptionists is Russian and she is constantly on Facebook / Twitter / Tiktok / whatever about all this stuff. Her brother is a Russian "Ultra" (remember those?) who is very directly involved with all of this and she reckons he hasn't got a clue what's going on. A load of his mates were sent to Ukraine to sort this mess out, they reckon they were on a liberation mission. When they found out that they were in fact the bad guys they abandoned their posts. Putin's shenanigans are just as twisted to his own people as they are to the Ukrainians.

I heard a quote the other day which made a lot of sense: "the Russians are invading their own and don't want to do it. The Ukranians are fighting for their country and will fight until their dying breath" - I think that sums up this invasion rather well tbh.

So they helped Ukraine out with Covid19 work Ukraine was doing. That is your Fauci biolab is it?

Honestly, I don't like your tone, I'm not sure why you're so combative and derisory. Who mentioned fauci? I just said it was something I'm looking into.

These labs were established long before covid.

I'm still looking for sources you'll happily accept, in the meantime here's the US embassy in the Ukraine outlining some programs and upgrading labs to bio level 2

https://ua.usembassy.gov/embassy/ky...n-office/biological-threat-reduction-program/

I'm confused. The first sentence in that post says this:

The U.S. Department of Defense’s Biological Threat Reduction Program collaborates with partner countries to counter the threat of outbreaks (deliberate, accidental, or natural) of the world’s most dangerous infectious diseases.

I mean, it's pretty much irrelevant to this topic but still - how do you make this a point worth discussing?

There's a conspiracy that has spiralled out of control from a single tweet from a random person on twitter. This has literally come about from one tweet. There is a screenshot of it in the article below. Because Russia is attacking military bases, they must be targeting biolabs
