watching that video about 15+ single IPC was conservative and on prototype part
It is also saying greater than 15%, it could say the minimum increase is 15%, so 50% is higher 60% is higher, 19% is higher. Anyone criticising and picking only the 15% figure at moment, given we know very little, is disingenuous at best.

12900K 5ghzP 4ghzE = 29 000~ MT CBR23
13900K 5ghzP 4ghzE = 37 456~ MT CBR23 (0% IPC gain over ADL)
13900K 5ghzP 4ghzE +5% IPC = 39 328~ MT CBR23
13900K 5,5ghzP 4,5ghzE = 41 619~ MT CBR23
13900K 5,5ghzP 4,5ghzE +5%IPC = 43 700~ MT CBR23

I dont think we will see 5.5ghz all core and 4.5 ghz e cores. I think the score will be around 35 to 38k with the doubling of e cores. Ill be surprised if it gets more.

Anyone know if there's any solid info when Meteor Lake is launching? I may hang on for that and just get a new GPU this year. Makes more sense since support for Arrow Lake would be nice given it's supposedly another decent increase.

Most of its all just speculation at this point, but expect delays.

I hope RPL is decent, it would be great if they can polish the 10nm Super Fin node so it can achieve 5ghzP 4ghzE with 1,05Vcore. I can do 5ghzP 4ghzE with 1,15Vcore on my 12600K.

This is 12600K with 4ghzP 3ghzE 0,835Vcore matching stock 5800X in multi core at only 55W.

At the moment, there's no real proof that Intel is even considering Raptor Lake CPUs, it's not mentioned on roadmaps or any official slides. Perhaps it would be worthwhile if they could improve their 10nm process further, but I'm not sure if they can.

Raptor Lake might just be smoke and mirrors from Intel, or youtubers like MLID.

I think they would only release another 10nm CPU series (probably just a refresh), if something goes wrong with 7nm EUV / Meteor Lake. It's possible even though they have a working prototype of Meteor Lake, that the yields will be poor. But, it seems to be going well overall. My money would be on Meteor Lake being the 13th generation, in early 2023.
I think in 2023 they need to present it on 7nm(intel 4) already, am I wrong ?

Might be that it is a slightly refined 12th gen, the 13th gen will benefit from improve ddr5 support, better scheduling etc, so not hard to see how they can gain 10% or more through this alone, even if the chips don't change much.

They did actually launch the 11th gen to follow the 10th knowing it was utter and complete *****.
No reason they won't launch a 13th gen if its 10% better.
There will be a product, and Id expect it 13900 equivalent to be better than the 12900, as for the chips below that who knows, the 12700 and 12600 are excellent chips for what thye do, with faster and better memory support they'll be excellent.
I was expecting more serious work from intel because Ryzen 7000 series should be a beast by the leaks

It's only a good idea if people want to stay on DDR4 for a bit longer, and already have a LGA1700 board. I'd maybe consider it worthwhile if the current 12th gen CPUs sell for a good price.
