Because somebody made an observation that you disagree with and it hurt your feelings?Ah yes, now I remember why I stopped using this forum.

I genuinely don't think we could get worse than the current crop in the UK. not unless Putin puts his hat in the ring.Yes, but I thought the Dems led by Biden was the answer, just like people said it would be after getting that "nasty orange man" out.
Why is it that the current crop are always worse than the last? Wait and see what happens in the UK once the Tories are out. If people think things are bad now, they haven't seen anything yet.
I'm pro choice, but it is bewildering to see a few people I know crying about "my body, my choice" despite being in full support of forcibly vaccinating people just a short while ago...
An ex colleague of mine posted "if you're ignoring NHS messages and refusing to get it done, they should come to your house and hold you down" last year and now she's angry that women have lost the right to make decisions about their own bodies. Amazing.
There are no women on the internet, that’s a proven fact.Be a damn sight more interesting to know if any females voted in this poll![]()
They haven't made it illegal, probably in most states it won't be illegal. They've simply said it's down to the states to decide
And when exactly in the last 50 years did they repeal legislation which made it legal? Why isn't there such an outrage at the majority of African, Middle Eastern, Asian, South American countries where it is banned outright or prohibited?.
Which would be fine if states could be trusted to apply their own appropriate legislation, but at least one of them (e.g. Texas) has made it clear that isn't the case.It would be similar to to the government here saying it’s up to your local council to legislate on something or the other way pre brexit the eu controlling abortion legislation then making it a U.K. decision
well in the city next to where I grew up there is a law saying it is ok to kill Welsh people with an arrow if they are seen inside the city walls after dark. to be fair I don't think the law has been tested lately and it is *possible* a more recent law may render it obsoleteTo extend your analogy, it would be like the government saying murder was no longer illegal and its up to the local councils, after Birmingham Council has already said it will be fine to murder gingers.
No, the ruling wasn't based on a 1700s era document but rather an aspect of the 14th Amendment (from 1868) - the Due process clause establishing the right to privacy. IT seems like a bit of a stretch.
There isn't any specific provision for abortion in the constitution or subsequent amendments.
Who are the unhinged religious nutjobs you're referring to and on what basis?
They understand. They just like to use highly emotive, highly charged language even if it is technically wrong.I get the feeling a lot of people don’t really understand what’s actually been repealed
The US has not banned abortion, they have simply and i out this in the simplest terms that it’s a state matter not a federal matter

America is entirely different as this is done for so many other things ie the death penalty is decided at a state level so why not abortion?
Amendments to the 1787 original. Whatever the date, it's a long time ago before these concepts existed. That it comes under a later amendment under the right to privacy seems reasonable to me.
No, it isn't a long time before "these concepts existed" abortion existed in the 1800s.
The people that are pro-life and anti-freedom when it comes to an unborn foetus, but won't lift a finger for social security to feed and shelter the now born child
Charity is not social security. The church literally run pro-life clinics that offer free support for expecting mothers, the provide medical aid, support and necessities like nappies for new mothers, they even help with adoption. These same clinics that provide this service free of charge, are being attacked and fire bombed by those who oppose the pro-life system, the very people who are now threating the lives of the supreme court justices for over turning a ruling that is not a federal issue.
So 'my body, my choice (with exceptions)'? That shouldn't be how it works. It's all or nothing.2 completely different scenarios. Vaccination protects others.
