something on fire in Moscow
Just burning off all the excess gas they're not selling to Europe any moreNot convinced that's a real issue. The base of the 'fire' is quite high so I think its just the flaring tower. I used to see similar all the time near here (Stanlow Oil Refinery).

(the smell was pretty bad at times visiting friends who really were next to it).

Interesting speculation that choking gas supply to europe has serious risk to the russian gas operations.
Can't stop the supply at the well without creating restarting issues. Can't store that much gas either.
So could be flares the size of a skyscraper become more common as russia chooses to burn it.
Well it is certainly less dangerous for animals at least.Apparently more environmentally friendly to burn it than to just release the gas. Source, some chap on reddit so must be true.
You make it sound like you don't believe the climate change narrative.Apparently more environmentally friendly to burn it than to just release the gas. Source, some chap on reddit so must be true.
Oh I absolutely do believe in climate change and that humans are accelerating it. Also that it’s safer burnt off than just released. You make it sound like you don't believe the climate change narrative.
Apparently the number of coal plants being opened in Germany (well, re-opened) has never been higher than now when Green party is at the helm. Guess they don't believe their own stuff either
Yes, methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide (and water)
I'm not sure the host knows how nukes work lol.
Yeah it wasn't anything you said it was something someone had posted in that Reddit thread that triggered me a bit.I don't think it's a game changer either, was just posting to the discussion thread on reddit.
