Russias neighbours are just moving further and further away from it.
Ukraine is proposing to make English the defacto language that is used in the workplace. Ukraine has also already updated its school curriculum in cities it controls to remove the Russian language - no more school work will be taught in Russian and Russian will not be offered as a language study course.
And not just Ukraine, its neighbours seem to moving along as well. Latvia is now also planning to also remove Russian language.
