Hate to be that person, but I don't think these have a G98 cert, so I don't think the DNO would pass it when you commission your DIY system. If you've got it signed off by them then fair enough, or just running it without telling them. Just wanted people to be aware before ordering.

On the Octopus website under account. There is a link that says "view my balance forecast" then toggle the "crystal ball mode" to show the predicted energy cost rises for Oct/Jan/Apr

Just going from when I did mine (under the 3.68kW), the DNO asked for a schematic drawing, plan of the installation, a G100 form and G98 form B.

Fair if you don't need to tell them.

You don't need permission below 3.6kWh but you still need to inform them. Above 3.6 kWh you need permission.

I am on Go faster and not there for me either I guess when you are on fixed it's not as necessary as you know your energy use from past years and the price is stable

These people are rioting over energy bills so what do you think they’ll do to someone flaunting electricity?

Maybe leave an extension lead in the garden so they can charge their phones and you may be ok.

you know in the past I would have said not in the UK. buy at my parents kneck of the woods there are a group going round letting down car tyres of cars they feel are "too flashy" "too expensive" or "too wasteful".

at moment it is only jamming the valve but how long before it escalates. bone headed thing is they target electric too so it's basically jealousy imo rather than a genuine attack against perceived polluters.

It only works on single rate tarrfis , else how would it be able to predict when you used on peak vs offpeak.

They could if you had smart meters I suppose. They can see the useage for every 30 minutes that way, so would know how much you typically use at what times etc.

Any solar panel you can find 24v and up, just the inverter needs to be of a higher capacity than the wattage of the panel.
IE if your panel is 300W get a 350w inverter
