Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

If they do this cap (obviously it's what the energy suppliers want, they aren't daft, they'd lose loads with people not paying) it's a big can kick. But it always was going to be.

And yeah it won't come down from what ever its set to(let's say 2k-2.5k) for potentially a decade.

It also ends brings an end to fixed price energy. If you're on a fix that's probably it for the mid term.

Everyone will be on this cap. Its the end of competition.

But this list is going to grow.
Government debt is going to grow significantly next 12 months.

100s of billions is needed
We're in effect fighting a proxy war. War is expensive. The government would be borrowing a lot to fund defense if we were directly at war; instead it has to borrow lots to cover the cost of a proxy war.

How did it afford the cold war?

Almost forgot to post, sadly couldn't download the video.

An electrician posted on tiktok 100 bridged meters photos, (so now I know what a fiddled meter looks like), the real eye opener is he came across all these in just 6 months.

Things is these people will justify it to themselves which I can almost... understand.

The problem is all it will achieve it make it even more expensive for everyone else.

I'm sat in my local Chinese take away thinking how much this is going to affect a business like this, all this cooking equipment running.

I bet they have a bridged meter! :D

According to industry insiders, the takeaway industry is rife at fiddling meters, so probably its bridged. :p

I have decided to take up Sainburys Energy 1 Year Smooth Renew v21 tariff as my current fix is up in October and this will carry on from then. The rates are sky high compared to what I am paying now but everyone is in the same boat and I reckon it will still be cheaper than tomorrows figures for October and then the rises in January and April. The good news is that there are no fees to exit should the government actually get off their backsides and do something. The unit rates are Electricity 67.15485p per kWh, SC 50.05p per day, Gas 16.821p per kWh, SC 27.22p per day which is a massive increase over my current prices but what other choice is there? That will hit me for £287.87 a month which is a whopping £202.77 extra per month and I have no idea how I am going to afford it long term. I don't have Sky, Netflix or anything like that to get rid of and my energy use is as low as I can possibly get it. We don't have takeaways and we don't have holidays and it looks like Christmas will have to be cancelled this year. This is a nightmare. I am glad I don't have a mortgage because those poor people must be pulling their hair out.

Think that will be considerably higher than what is announced tomorrow but like you say you can always exit. Gas might not be far off but the electric unit price looks high.

cutting back is working so far on electric but its still going to hurt, interestingly the tumble drier broke in the second week of march.... pretty obvious hey?
