Not much excitement for RDNA3, compared to the RTX 4000 series

I believe they are linked. AMD never expected to be so close to Nvidia. Wasn’t the 6900xt a late decision after seeing how the 3090 performed? I don’t think they expected to be competing with the 102 die.

Because they didn’t expect to be so close they bought the wafers they thought they would need based on historical sales performance.

I think we can all agree It would be a foolish financial decision to think you are going to sell enough GPUs to service say 50% of the GPU market when historically your competition has been way ahead of you in performance and you’ve only sold enough GPUs for >10% of the market.
I agree. I hope they buy more wafers and sell more GPUs over the next few generations. That way we can all see a more balanced competitive landscape and see better prices

Might help if you get a house and don't live in a car
Plug in car to house. Or, plug in to someone else's house

RX 7900XT will have 3 8 pin power connectors with up to 450W to feed the GPU.

FYI there is a proper thread for this, over here

@AthlonXP1800 - The design doesn't look too outlandish, compared to the 6900XT. 6 MCDs for presumably more infinity cache.

I hope they limit the TDP to 400w, allowing a little more for overclocking.

The more Nvidia tries to charge for 4000, the more inclined I am to wait for AMD's offering.

I understand that tech purchaces depreciate quickly, but AMD's offering has the potential to absolutely tank Nvidia's 4000 stuff in short order. I'm not predicting that will happen, but the potential for buyer's remorse is directly proportional to Nvidia's pricing.

My selection process is simple.
Max budget 600€: Who's going to offer me the best performance under that amount?

RDNA3 looks to be a better option if you are cautious with power consumption.
Kinda excited for benchies.

Gtx 4050 or AMD 6600 for 600 would flash your simple process down the toilet.
My toilet is safe as if those would be the only options I'll keep my RX 590.
I'm not going to bother until I get at least 6800 performance and 10-12 GB ram.

Definitely launching this year:

Good stuff, probably getting most of the generation this year I reckon.
