Well the celebrations about cleansing the Tory party of big bad Boris didn't last long...

It seems those that wished, willed and finally orchestrated it are not chess players and had no thoughts as to where their impetuous move may later lead them :)

I can see "Come back Boris" being mouthed, if not yet vocalised ;)

Do you think all the Con MP's and Con party members are regretting their choices now?

Getting rid of Boris didn't have to cause this.
Could have easily had someone better.

So even though Boris is better than truss. This outcome wasn't fated

I'm surprised you people manage to get out of bed in the morning, you must live in a perpetual state of paranoia and anxiety at the thought of 'others', them 'lefties', and everyone's who's doesn't look like you hiding around every corner. :)

Johnson - no morals, never did anything
Truss - no morals, did something weird

I'd say it's 51/49

Infidelity - check
Dodgy Donors - check
Moron - check
No real world experience or track record - check
KGB Sympathiser - only Johnson so far

Hilarious. Liz Truss gets absolutely trousered by a legion of Alan Partridges, yet her supporters seem to expect her to be the Iron Lady reincarnate, ready take on the likes of Putin and Lavrov on the world stage. How far the hard of thought have dragged this country down.

Its interesting that any female MP is to be compared to Thatcher in order to be successful, but no male mp is compared to Churchill. These comparisons set dangerous precedents like this lady is not for turning.

I believe the country shouldn't be topping up low paid unskilled workers pay. The more successful the corporations are, the more they expand and provide more jobs. People need to cut their cloth accordingly and not expect to buy expensive homes etc if they're an unskilled worker.

One of the main problems in this country is the cost of housing. That is what needs to be solved so that unskilled workers don't need to demand higher wages. The housing issue needs addressing on a number of fronts, it should be removed from being part of an open market in terms of buy to let so that landlords would need to bid for licences to operate in areas which would allow a capped number of purchases. Foreign property investment should be halted all together. We also need to address our migration problem and stop letting in economic migrants. There should be a national blue print of affordable homes put together that fit suitable English styling and don't need to go through full planning permission each time they need to be rolled out. Planning permission should focus more on site plans, suitability of location, services etc for these as the styles of home would be pre approved. These should be built and managed by a national body that councils pay so that each council isn't doing some expensive random ****. These affordable homes would mostly need to be apartments, to provide adequate but not excessive space, on a budget per dwelling. This would be far more beneficial to the country to have our own national house builder rather than our own energy company that Labour have proposed.
I dont think unskilled workers expect to buy expensive homes at all! or even rent expensive homes. The National Living wage is calculated based on the supplying the following items only

Rent
Energy
Travel
Council Tax
Childcare
Core basket of food and essential services

The current model works on £395 per month rent for a single person (outside London) and £433 for a couple so hardly extravagant.

If you have 2 kids the Living wage goes to over £20 per hour so at £15-£16 per hour for a person without kids isnt even being skewed.

I agree the problem is the overpriced housing market in the Uk which leads to high rents and high mortgages. So if you fix that then you might be able to get away with minimum wage being where it is now. That and the high childcare costs.

But reality is that the minimum wage is a long way short of the living wage so until you fix the housing market people should be paid the living wage. Eventually the living and minimum wage would match in an ideal world.

But by not paying the living wage the gap between the bottom 50% and the top 1% just gets wider and wider every year. We are 12th in the world for the worst gap and getting worse every year.

Lets start paying people a bit more and making less profits shall we?

So you are admitting Truss is ***** then? I expect the people who booted him out, the Conservative party, are regretting it. The rest of us appalled at his incompetence and immorality, no.

well Putin literally threatened her with nuclear weapons so she must be doing something right.. :D

There is only 1 thing the Tories could do that would be worse for their shredded reputation (domestic and international) and that would be to shuffle Johnson back in.

Even though this lot let Farage be their leader in the past they can at least "read" and have "memories" :D

I think you're a troll because you are basically a caricature of a rabid Tory, and nobody can be that idiotic in real life.
Hence you post just to try and get a rise out of people.

Use the report post function if you think a post is against forum guidelines or stick to SC - one or the other zzz...

Still celebrating Boris being gone, the more the tories have to scrape the barrel the more they expose themselves as the useless ****s they are, have been and will continue to be if they get re-elected.
