Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

So my mother's flight got cancelled and she got redirected to Newcastle. They are going to fly back down tomorrow morning.

I managed to get out of junction 8 Stansted services and onto M11 and was proper sketchy as hell. There was about an inch of snow and ice covering up my headlights. I thought my bulbs had blown. Drove 30mph most of the way. (Goodyear eagle summer tyres). Took me 3 hours to get home and didn't clear up till near enough Peterborough. Normally journey takes me hour and 40. At one point it was so bad that I started in lane 1 and ended up in lane 3 following the Armco as there was no other visuals! The build up of snow on the front is several inches thick in places.

This is entirely the fault of Theresa May Kwasi kartengs ridiculous budget Adam so its your own fault and people like you need to eat winter tyres and stop moaning. The best place for a Tory is under thick ice.
 
So glad I got back when I did at 20.30. I travelled round the M25 essex side. Came off at A12, Junction 28. Was interesting in my Mercedes C class, this is my first snow in a rear drive car. Couldnt get my car onto the drive, had to park down the road. Ridiculous that the m25 wasnt gritted.

Nothing was gritted in london!
 
I was supposed to fly to Egypt yesterday but couldn't get over/through the Costwolds. Cheltenham was utter chaos yesterday morning. Turned around and went back home in the end as there was no way I'd make it to Heathrow in time.
Didn't look like many of the roads were gritted/prepared well enough.

Nobody has winter tyres here because it snows once every 10 years so when it does happen everything falls apart, not much to do with driving standards imo.
