It's been grim today. Glad I was out yesterday on bike mot today!

Same temperature but just overcast and damp.

Last year it didn't freeze once here on South Wales coast. This week been frozen for days

No snow here. But it hasn't snowed here in 3 years.

There was a lad riding a car bonnet down a hill not too far away. He got to 30mph and hit a fence, dead.
30mph!

Thats going some. I've gotten to that on my mountain bike down a hill. And damn I can see how it could kill you!

Honestly I think they should mandate winter tyres as they do in many European countries. People don't realise how much of a difference winter tyres make. Yes it's a faff having 2 sets of wheels but honestly it's night and day.

We've got a good couple of inches already. Kids have been out in it for an hour! More is coming down... I wonder if the school will be open!

Something like the Cross Climate 2 or Pilot All Season 4 are good year round tyres so no need to keep changing wheels every six months, but are ********* marked so function well in snow if not quite as well as a dedicated winter tyre.

Yes they'll definitely be better than what most people use to try and drive in the winter now!

Snowing here, west London. It’s been fun here since the cold snap started. We’re in the middle of renovations (Victorian terrace), and we had the kitchen windows and doors replaced recently so the one radiator we had back there is now gone, we’re missing all the insulation in the kitchen roof (Velux was fitted), and there’s gaping holes where the new windows and doors were where the brickwork needs fitting better. It’s been like 5c, and your can see your breath. Feather coats required when cooking! :(

Dude did you even read that article? Let me summarise it with one of their own observations:

"But no - the Cross Climate performed admirably and essentially matched the all-season (which only just trailed the full winter anyway) in each of our identical races."

What a load of dribble, clearly sponsored by Michelin, as they try and fudge the winter certification process to sell more all season tyres.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
Anecdotally my CrossClimates have done the job when other vehicles have been struggling or abandoned.
