*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Not sure, but I think the sprint speed has been upped again.. In some instances I feel like I'm playing Quake it's that fast, like I'm some kind of universal soldier high on methamphetamines sprinting for crazy distances without ever getting tired or outta breath. :cry:
 
How are you guys playing this game? I've given it a few hours this weekend and have mostly sat in empty lobbies waiting and when in a game it runs like dirt on my 4090 - pixelation everywhere - looks like 720p but I've got 1440p selected. Then I seem to float around the map and everyone is teleporting. Am I missing somthing?? BF1 runs amazing.

Have you got crossplay on/off?

I don't think anyone on PC has crossplay off so if you do, that'll explain the lack of lobbies.

What settings are you running? I shared mine previously and the game looks nice for me. I'll try and dig them out, I can't remember if I changed a few things to medium/high but this was largely what I used.

Anyone else been having an issue with the Med Pens for the Assault? When ever I use it nothing happens, I need to wait for auto regen to kick in.
 
Do get some fun from this game now..but... it feels WAY to fast paced for a battlefield game, in fact it seems faster than ever now for some reason, i actually find the new cod more tactical and slower paced which has never happened before.

Its a fun game, but its not battlefield

When Exodus Conquest comes back into the rotation you’ll find the pace is a bit better, 64 players plays better than 128. It’s just a shame the maps are all built for 128.

There was a glitch over the weekend where console players were all in 128p conquest on the new map and PC players were in 64p and it played so so nicely. Felt like it was chaotic enough without being OTT. Console players seemed to love it being crossplay just with consoles and PC players really enjoyed 64p!

It said you MUST update your Nvidia drivers to play this season, so it was forcing you to install them if you wanted to play.

I didn’t update my drivers… Where was it telling you this?!

I’ve played a ton since season 4 started too, got the battle pass to level 45 already…
 
Had wierd issue last night, starting the game caused my pc to bsod. Other ea games seem fine and I did a verify which came back OK so just ended up deleting and reinstalling. Very odd, not had chance to test it yet.

Good!! 64 player is so much better! Why they keep removing it I don't know

Apologies Neil, seen a few other people say the same thing. Interesting that my drivers are definitely not updated and I was able to play... I don't tend to update drivers to the latest, I'm usually a few versions behind.
 
Had an awesome few rounds yesterday, but tonight... RAGE INDUCING!!

Far more cheaters, hit reg issues, and a mass of AIM ASSIST Playstation 2 players. :mad:

Entire team just called it quits tonight

Aim assist is pretty rubbish on 2042 compared to a Warzone or other COD game - but controller players do get significantly less recoil (
).

I'm definitely noticing an influx in hit reg issues and have had the more frequent cheater appear. A few friends picked up the game on PS5 with it being available on PS Plus so I jumped onto the PS5 and played it with crossplay off with them and it almost feels like a different game! Really enjoying it at the moment, the player base seems really strong and I've found my groove with the latest map and assault rifle.
