Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

Models are really struggling to get to grips with this LP and the potential precipitation it will bring.

Regardless of what the forecasts / charts are showing, some areas in the south could miss out completely and your neighboring towns may end up with 20cm....it's just so much of an unknown quantity still until we get closer and the hi-res models can try and nail something down.

My prediction is the entire south region from Kent to Dorset will take a hammering, it may even correct northwards to bring places like Oxford into the mix...who knows

It is switching almost by the hour between hours of heavy snow and a bit of damp snow/sleet here - doesn't look like it will last beyond midday Wednesday though even if it does settle in any of the scenarios.

Leicestershire. At the time, my high school (school years 7-9) feeder upper (school years 10-11 plus 6th form) school was another 8 miles away. Lived 3 miles from high school.

Both now academies for school years 7-11. The upper school still has a 6th form.

Some areas of Leicestershire you started high school in year 6.

People outside Leicestershire found our school system odd.
 
Am due to go to Manchester way for a few days. The responsible thing to do would be sack it off, but these news/ forecasts are simply untrustworthy and non sensical so taking the gamble with a well kitted out car (weather clothing etc) is the more reasonable choice.

BBC radar from past few days has been predicting a blanket covering of snow for weds/thurs, and metoffice nada. :rolleyes:

Sensationalism and fear mongering like everything else the media reports. We was meant to have snow but its 0c and perfect blue skies. All those millions spent on weather and they still cant get it right. its even worse then it use to be. I wonder where those millions really went to.

I've always found the met office weather forecasts the nearest but at the minute its so changeable I'm just referring to looking out of my window.
 
Bloody forecast changed again typical when I have to drive to work forecast dont look good, im not sure snow will settle with all the rain however ice the next day could be horrendous.
