Jordan Peterson thread

God damn bureaucrats giving us tips on how to walk on ice and not break our necks.

Pingu's gone woke !

I think most people instinctively know how to do that. It doesn't really bother me that someone produced a poster but I understand his point, do we need someone doing that job? "Concentrate on keeping your balance", yeah no ****, thanks for that.

People still need signs that say "wash your hands". You have given too much credit to humanity.

Yarp, and people still argue that why should they be required to wash their hands after going to the toilet before preparing food for others.
Those pesky bureaucrats with their "don't make your customers sick" nonsense, It was so much better when you could go straight from having the runs to preparing food without wasting your time, soap and water.

I think the government should step away from parenting, mostly because it costs the tax payer money. If you need to be taught how to walk on a slippery surface then you probably aren't going to spend time reading the documentation produced.

I find a reminder to wash your hands is reasonable. Perhaps a sign teaching people how to urinate is next?

Maybe even something as silly as "mind the gap" as you're boarding a tube?

Seems reasonable to me given the inherent danger around trains and potentially falling onto the tracks. That's kind of the key I suppose, reasonable vs unreasonable. I suspect if Jordan Peterson hadn't retweeted it most people would agree it's rather silly, though I wouldn't be angry about it.

Yeah, I agree with Karl

He's actually employed by The Dailywire, which is a Conservative news outlet, so part of his actual job would be maintaining an online presence.

Yes, but not while posting like a teenaged girl with anger management issues.

He was perfectly fine and spoke very well on the last podcast that I saw him on which was last month, absolutely nothing wrong with him. I think you're reading into his Tweets a little too much.

C'mon man, even fellow conservatives are worried about this guy. He's a complete train wreck, cries at the drop of the hat, can't kick the benzos, tweets more manically than Trump.

I'm 100% no one posting negative things about him in this thread actually listened to it, easier to get your information second hand or basing everything on someone's Tweets.

I'm not getting my information second hand, Peterson has been very open about his drug dependency. And it seems to me that getting information about someone from their own tweets is a pretty reliable method.

It was very entertaining when he posted UK made fetish porn of some white guys on medical kink milking tables and bondage with the matrix filter over it because he thought it was a chinese breeding facility.

These signs or poster, or whatever format they take describing how to walk, were they on the walls of pubs, like the trite No Hate ones? If so, at closing time, they may indeed have been useful. Displayed generally, less so. Next will be instruction on how to breathe or urinate.

It was displayed by an icey path from what I can understand.

This is from 2020? It's unfortunate but perhaps reasonable considering his wife had cancer. This thing of calling him drug addict as a slur seems so strange, do many people not use pain killers and anti-depressants while going through tough times? People suffer from addiction and recover, it's life. He seems to be doing great now, which you'd know if you'd listened to him.

Being terminally online and spewing streams of consciousness onto Twitter is not part of his job.

Yes he's a multi-millionaire, but it's come at a terrible cost to his health. He's a drug addict who's suffered a slow-motion mental collapse over the past 12 months, and instead of dealing with it properly as a mature adult would, he's just been purging his thoughts and feelings all over the internet because he's addicted to the attention he gets from his fans.

The last few months have been little more than a torrent of brain farts and regressive behaviour, as he destroys his own legacy faster than any of his real or imaginary foes could have done.

Its almost like he is failing to follow his own advice. Something plenty of intelligent people do.
