*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Some of that will be down to you being more efficient at burning those calories you do intake, as you get thinner you need less calories. If you stuck at 2000 eventually you would reach a stasis point and stop losing weight, at which point you need to cut more. Someone above mentioned it in passing the other day.... it gets harder to lose.
My problem is unhelpful family buying crap snack food and leaving it on the counter. All very well saying "you don't have to eat it" but it doesn't work like that!

92.6 and 92.7 over the last 2 days. Went for a 23 mile cycle today. I forgot how much I love cycling. Not only does it get me out into the amazing countryside, but it’s basically afforded me a whole extra meal in the day!

Awesome stuff.

I went out for the first ride in a while today and was reminded of similar positives.

The downside being that I did 11 miles and consumed 3 pints at various cafes along the way…

I can’t see the downside of countryside beers! Important to replace those electrolytes!

Upped my steps to 20k plus a day, let's see how long it's sustainable for!
Guess it depends what kind of job you have and how much time you have as well! I have a desk job and have to dedicate an hour a day to a walk to get me to between 8-10k steps per day.

Retired. Time is something I have a lot of luckily. Was doing the standard 10k steps, noticed it was creeping up and last week was hitting 16k a day so thought I would push it a bit further. Hopefully will see some weight drop off.

With a cycling trip away from tomorrow, I started eating more over the last week, to ensure my energy levels are replenished. I was interested to see I've only really put on about 2lbs, which is probably from just being full of more food... My body fat % was the lowest I've seen it for a while on my scales. My ride on Sunday seemed to be quicker than it has been, so hopfeully the strategy has worked!

When I come back, back on the stricter calories to drop the few extra lbs back off.

I'm going to leave this here and if you want to watch it, you can.
Very informative IMO.
1.5hrs.. grab a low calorie beverage...

Personally I think Peleton is a lot more expensive and simply not as good. (Although I don't know huge amounts about it, but I get the impression it's kind of spin sessions at home?)

Zwift can be done failry cheaply. A Zwift hub can often be got for £400 and a Zwift sub is about £12.99. Get a decent fan and you're about set (maybe a Ant+ dongle... for about £15?)

But don't you need an actual bike? I don't have that either. :p
