For some reason, I seem to have to buy a new snow foam lance every year.

I don't use them so much during the winter yet come the nice weather they'll either not work properly straight away or after a few uses stop working.

Like the solution doesn't get pulled into the head, or just doesn't foam up as well as before. I've tried taking them apart, soaking them in hot water and changing the internal hose. They all seem to just stop working.

More or less decided they're just yearly consumables but it is frustrating.

I take it you rinse them out after use? I always run mine completely empty so they just get water coming out the nozzle. No issues.

Ceramic coating, yes or no? It's a 2015 4 series Gran Coupe in black. Some marks and swirls but nothing major and a few stone chips which he will sort if I supply a touch up pen. Company says they'll do a stage 1 machine polish and then a ceramic treatment which would be good for 2-3 years for £359 which is discounted by 20% from his usual price.

Both In winter/when the car is really dirty I give a spray of citrus apc wherever it's really dirty, leave for a minute or two, then go over with snow foam. I find it does help bring more dirt off than snow foam alone.

but you can add citrus pre wash into snow foam for extra kick (or something like Bithamber Surfex HD)

you need to get paint correction if your getting ceramic coating, otherwise its a waste

I suspect 1, 3 or 4 (but probably not both), maybe 5 then 6, but probably not 7 or 8.

I’m due a new Foam Lance - Used the same one since 2017.

Main reason I’d like to change is to something I can simply pour product and water into easily, currently one requires a funnel due to the opening being so small.

Going to wait for some offers or the MJJC style one from Direct Hoses… I’ll probably head down to their unit as they have a “Cash” price.
