Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Not sure how reliable the sources are regarding transfer news for Man Utd on twitter (popular names so I imagine ok sources) but from what I can tell, players we are interested/offered for are not being continued as the prices are silly. It seems has someone at Utd got their head screwed on and not going for players with the added Utd Tax. I hope so. I would rather try to bring some academy players through this coming season instead of being bummed in the transfer market again. With ETH as the helm, I don't mind not winning the prem, as long as we are progressing as a team.

Hopefully the powers that be are realising that if you are always willing to pay over the odds then you will always end up paying over the odds. The best clubs usually don't overpay for players, they just get their deals done in good time and don't fixate. We aren't in a position that one or two star players will have us winning the CL/PL so I would happily take a few years to get there.

Rumours that Neves is off to Al Hilal. Mad move from him if so. Nobody in their prime (Oscar, Ramires, Hulk etc) has ever improved their career by going to a rich but crap league. Basically an admission that you care more about earning even more money than about competitive football.

He's only 26 so should be entering his prime, and kick onto a bigger club. Shock move to be honest - 47 million aswell

I would wager a large proportion of players would take money over career especially when that money could be 3x more.

Not sure I agree with this. Players will often move for money if it leaves them with a potentially successful team. I could understand a player going to Chelsea over Liverpool or Arsenal, for example, because Chelsea will pay you over the odds and will be a good team in a good league. Going to Al Hilal is basically admitting that if someone gave him enough money he'd agree never to play football again

Nothing ever comes of supposed interest in Pickford. I think clubs know full well he’s overrated but the media make it up because he’s the England keeper.

No way ten Hag sanctions a move for Pickford ahead of getting a striker or a midfielder. Pickford isnt an upgrade on De Gea really. In other news - United still a joke of a club when it comes to transfers. Glazers still giving the finger to the fans whilst every other club gets on with business.
