** Diablo 4 Thread **

I got these unique gloves and I'm convinced the shadow perk is either completely useless or bugged currently. I've been watching it closely and seems to do maybe a single auto attack before it ends, no matter what I am doing :|

I'm loving lighting sorcerer

Once I pop unstable currents my screen gets completely filled up with yellow crit numbers and floating lightning balls. I usually wait till I get the boss stunned, then pop my fire shield and unstable currents and it just crits for days and balls, balls flying everywhere and bosses' health pool just melts like butter

pretty sure i just finished the campaign,
didn't like diablo 4 campaign as much as d3

D3 had a lot of cutscenes with story that looked epic
D4 has a lot of isometric people just talking with bubbles on their head, yes their was a few cutscenes but lot of them were meh.
pretty bored of the game at the moment only after 36 hours, sure ill put 1000 in, but right now not feeling it.

i think maybe because been stuck on a build i don't enjoy anymore ice shards + maybe because so much in short amount of time.
going back to lighting as that was fun. kinda wish fire was more viable but its pretty hard to kite with fire & its sooo slow

not to mention diablo 4 feels like it has less enemy types than d3 or am i mad?

Have they changed the Butcher spawn rate?

I did 3 random Dungeons this morning to get the renowned up in the area and each time he spawned, killed him every time.

Also, there chests that are locked and need to get a key to open (think they are called whisper chests) when is the best time to open these? I have a few of the keys but have left them, I am level 59 (not far off 60)

Is the shadow clone spawning, but then de-spawning almost instantly ? Be aware that lucky hit isn't the same as critical hit chance. If your lucky hit chance is low this unique power won't proc often.

On a related note, I'm finding many of the unique items in this game aren't all that good ... they rely on buffing offense and very seldom have any defensive stats which are vital for doing WT4 efficiently. It's almost as if the game designers don't know their own game systems !

It's just RNG. Prior to the latest patch I had the Butcher something like 17 times out of 20 dungeons. This weekend I haven't seen him once ....

fair enough, I have only seen him twice before today since release and today he was on every dungeon

The "fresh meat!" comment when he spawns makes wonder here he is coming from as he can kill you quite quickly if your not careful

The music changes as well, it's subtle but he does seem to have a boss song :D

I mean it does proc fairly often but maybe the shadow clone just works better with a melee build. I'm playing a fully ranged crossbow rogue and the unique ability is near useless.

They need to tweak some of the uniques drastically if they want some build diversity. I hope they don't head the way of D3 with set items that give ridiculous damage multipliers.

Just unlocked WT3 on my Barb (tried the capstone at 48 but couldn't get a third of the boss' health down, much easier at 50).

Think I'm just going to unlock the alters and get some renown then give it a rest until season 1. It's been a really enjoyable journey but there are too many other games I want to play at the moment to commit to the grind.

Finally got all the gear and aspects to do a proper whirlwind build, and man, it's absolutely mint. I really enjoyed the HOTA build I was using but it was pretty frustrating in things like Legion events or in party's where it was difficult to build fury because enemies are gone so quickly. But with the shouts and the rolls I have on my gear, fury is never an issue, only run out if it's a single enemy. Damage is ridiculous as well. Not quite as potent as in D3 yet, but I'm sure sets will fix that in the seasons

I'm loving it as a base, and im sure it will develop well over the coming years.
Got my rogue to lvl78 and the done most of the aspects/side quests/statues etc.

My key areas that could be better are:
Hard CC in nightmare, as a rogue if i die its cause i was CC'd and nuked, some of it is just crazy, makes fishing for sigils a thing.
Items have way too many degrees of freedom, My dagger/sowrd are still way under leveled cause I cant get the right combo of damage boosting stats to match my lower level stat sticks.
Linked to the above makes enchanting items an absolute money sink, I spent millions in d3 to get 0.1% extra on an ideal build, in D$ im happy to get a "Not dead" stat for my build.
Paragon boards are great apart from the 10+ point pathing across the board to hit the node i want, feels like a road block in progression especially in later levels when its quite a grind to earn that XP.

I have 2 friends on XBOX playing and they crash a lot like 2-3 times a day this weekend. on nightmares that can mean a wipe, makes HC a no go until its fixed (that said i think HC is for masochists).

Looking forward to season 1, as someone who played all the Diablo games a lot and played D3 on/off from launch till last season I'm positive.

Havent played in a while, had personal stuff and the festival this weekend, will have to jump back on soon, i must say that the difficulty of the dungeons has put me off a little, i dont like too much of a challenge and the dungeons ive come across seem impossible on your own

What world tier are you playing and what class? I solo'd all the way so far and started on tier 2.

Make sure you're playing in world tier 1. World tier 2 can be quite tough if you aren't a veteran of the ARPG genre, particularly early on in the game when your build/gear is lacking. Also, both druid and barbarian classes are tougher to play early on ... but become very powerful in the late game. All build are not equal in this game ... not even close. And I'd suggest to familiarise yourself with the vulnerable damage mechanic. Any builds that don't advantage of that will struggle.
