Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Backfiring how...
Mbappe will be the first of many players in their prime to go to Saudi, nobody was worried when it’s the likes of Jordan Henderson moving but Mbappe will cause a domino effect. if it wasn’t for FFP do you really think that the 3-4 richest clubs in the world wouldn’t be offering close to the same terms as Saudi, you know that madrid, Barca, mancity and ManU would be all over Mbappe.
The FFP imposed by both UEFA and the Premier League/Spanish League has hamstrung the really rich clubs which has allowed the Saudi clubs to take advantage of the situation.

Why bid 300 mil euros, he has a year left on his contract, they will likely accept the bid 250mil or even 200 mil euros. It seems unnecessary to go straight to 300mil from the get go.

He hasn't even accepted, and even if he does it's a one year loan before he goes to Real. The only club you listed that can afford 1m wages weekly without cheating is Madrid, Barca certainly can't. It's nothing to do with FFP why nobody is going for him.

it’s Everything to do with FFP why nobody else is going for him and It’s only cheating because FFP says it is.
if an owner decides he wants to put £10b into a clubs bank accounts(be it city‘s owner or ManU’s new owner or Chelsea or Newcastle) and activate the football manager money cheat, why shouldn’t they?
Uefa/PL/Spanish league will start to panic soon as the value of there own products will start to plummet, and with FFP in place the Top clubs have pretty much grown as much as they can(so can’t compete with Saudi) and the obstacles in place make it almost impossible for other clubs to grow(pump in the money) to compete

Yes, breaking the laws is cheating. I understand this must be confusing for you.

And no it isn't related to FFP. Madrid could buy him now if they wanted to, but they won't because they can get him for free in 12 months. They bid 200m for him a few years ago, saying they can't do it because of FFP is laughable.

Can't compete with Saudi :D Compete for what? No player is choosing a Saudi club over a good European club, they're just taking the bag while the Saudi clubs are dumb enough to offer it. it's exactly the same as it was with China 5/6 years ago. They're literally taking castoffs and deadwood for megabucks because the Europeans don't want them.

prevents other clubs going for him
Would have thought anything 200+ would beat anything Real Madrid, Chelsea etc could offer
Same. Bit random. He can be a bit up and down but was pretty sure he would stay in England.
+1 was expecting him to move to Spurs or a top 6 club.

I don't really understand Zaha joining Galatasaray :s
Same, who has ever gone to Turkey and been a success. Kevin Campbells interview on Under the Cosh on YouTube is an absolute insight into what a **** place to play the Turkish league is. Beds in the ground for players to sleep after the game if they lose and much much worse.

As for Mbappe, I hope he joins the Saudi league and I don’t care if all the top players from every club go there. Free up some spots for other talent and force UEFA to do something about the finances. Although the answer will probably be to invite them into the CL. :D
