I do get the disparity, but realistically USA don't need a carrier group involved in a European conflict, as they've got NATO airbases in Europe.

Is there not a risk that Iran/russia send some ASM to Hesb or Hamas and target a US ship?
The last thing this conflict needs is for the US to be dragged into it.

Arent the russkies bored of losing sons by the boatload day in day out yet? Will the middle east frontier and the Armenian front play a role in this war ? perhaps accelerating a trude or an end to this russian fiasco?
It's not their sons being lost. They're all safely away in their European villas or hidden well away from the front.
Its the poor from outside the main cities that are being sent.
There has been no forced recruitment in moscow or the like.
putin is keeping the losses away from the cities that would cause the most harm. Its when the man power starts running out of the poor places that we will see the urge for truce.,

Yeah large amounts of the mobilised have come from Russian regions around 2/3rds of the way east across the country from Moscow. Those regions in the west of Russia bordering Ukraine actually have very low levels of mobilisation for the war for the most part.
its been kinda sad if you've listen to the intercepted phone calls and texts, the conscripts are surpised by things like tarmac roads and indoor plumbing. Basic ukrainian houses are kitted out like millionaire penthouses at home.
Definitely, its about revenge, they want it, they are not leaving it to anyone else, they will hit Iran hard with USA backed munitions which is probably much better than anything Ukraine can do at the moment.
I always knew the towns and villages outside Moscow ant St Petersburg were complete **** holes but until this war I didn't realise they didn't even have basic appliances like washing machines or even worse toilets.
I was always a bit perplexed when I saw them loading up the toilets onto cars and tanks etc, I knew Russia wasn't exactly like us but I didn't know it was that bad.

the worst fact about Russians is not the lack of appliances or ammenities, they have never experienced freedom or democracy. Never in their history....
Although it's the biggest country in the world, Russia is only really 2 cities - Moscow and St Petes. Everything beyond there is dire - they literally have no facilities or infrastructure and it's like living in the middle ages - all part of the kleptocracy as all the money gets stolen and the people don't know any better because of the state propaganda.
This is all part of the reason for the war as the Russians look down on Ukraine (indeed they call it little Russia) and Putin didn't want Ukraine joining the EU and becoming prosperous as that would lead to a threat to the Kremlin regime.
They had a fair election in 2000, the problem was that 53% of them decided that that Putin kid looked like a honest guy xD

By contrast, the UK is mainly London, then Birmingham and Manchester, then Leeds and Glasgow, then the minor cities. Russia is Moscow, then St Petersberg, then the minor cities. Their fifteenth biggest city is still bigger than Liverpool and dwarfs Edinburgh or Cardiff.
This is true, and was made extra funny by the fact that they depended on Ukraine for so much, I.E maintenance and/or parts for their Ukrainian designed/built ships/ICBMs/aircraft. One of the reasons they were unable to get many of their T-80s (and any of their T-64s) out of storage and operational was because invading the country that designed/built them made it difficult to order parts xD
They're having a similar issue repairing their Su-25 aircraft because the USSR put the factory in Georgia and they're refusing to help

Backfires everytime though. The US war machine gets richer and richer well beyond any other rival and allied nations get more and more equipment.
Also just happens to never win any conflict either, at least not in any meaningful way for the cost. Iraq basically controlled by Iran, Afghanistan returning to form, Libya a gaping hole for migrants, Syria made Russia confident...
Guess we're all suckers.
