I doubt it. Why would they sacrifice profit? They aren’t going to. When it goes fully digital they will have even more of a monopoly on price.

Started this today playing in fidelity 40fps, looks really nice.
I was talking about having to pay £60 a year minimum (PS Plus subscription) just to play the games online, plus the talk lately that apart from GOG on PC, we don't really own the games we buy, they are subject to a digital license that can expire. So really we're just renting them. I don't think I'll buy another console. Way cheaper to game on PC these days, with the big 1st party games coming to PC anyway, all of this sort of makes consoles redundant.
The last year psplus has really upped its game tbhThink I’ll try this mode too. Suddenly PSplus has become better than Gamepass. Hasn’t been much on Gamepass in ages, Sony have added some decent titles on PSplus. I’m tempted to hold out for Spiderman 2 on there.

2.1 We give you and other GOG users the personal right (known legally as a 'license') to use GOG services and to download, access and/or stream (depending on the content) and use GOG content. This license is for your personal use. We can stop or suspend this license in some situations, which are explained later on.
17.2. Our right to terminate the Agreement. If you materially breach this Agreement, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your access to GOG services and GOG content. By material breach of the Agreement we mean a serious breach which could cause significant harm to GOG, GOG users, as well as, in particular breach of the provisions of section 11 above or GOG Code of Conduct. If we suspend or cancel your access to GOG services or GOG content we'll take reasonable steps to contact you to explain why we have done this and what (if anything) you can do as a result.

Purchased 3 months of Plus (cancelled late last year as it was rubbish) and this was one of the games I grabbed. Last of Us Part One, Minus One, Chapter 1 looks utterly incredible really. The lighting alone is something else. The last of us Part 1 remake is now on PSplus. Didn’t realise. Looks like I have something to play again
Under the waves looks interesting too.

To be clear, I'm not knocking GOG. They're a decent company and treat their customers well, but ultimately all any digital access is nowadays is a licence.
My sub is coming to an end next month, was going to drop down to essential, but think I’m going to renew extra again.

I actually purchased Under the Waves at release but couldn't get into it due to the chronic aborigines (CA) messing up the visuals. It was really distracting.
I was primarily a PC gamer so I am kind of in the middle - I do agree to an extent but it doesn't really bother me as I haven't played MP for years - I've kinda done it all at my age and just want SP gaming.I absolutely hate paying extra to play games I've already paid for online, feels like such a con, one that we've been conditioned to accept. Doesn't anyone else feel this way about forced subs to play online?
