If you know the true cost of design / development, BOM and packackging then please enlighten me. On the other hand, just what would Intel or Nvidia charge for the best gaming CPU on the planet? You think that £500 for an 8 core CPU is cheaper? I think it shows that AMD are very aggressive on their pricing when there is no competition.

I don’t think the Battlemage series will be winning any prizes, because Intel opted to fab it with TSMC’s 6nm process.
Nvidia used the N4 TSMC process for the RTX 4000 series (still 5nm apparently).
EDIT - I’ve seen conflicting reports on whether it will utilise a 4nm or 6nm process.
I suppose we should know by tomorrow.
Personally, never thought it was bad. Shame they couldn’t produce the damn thing though. There were lots of innovations planned alongside 20a, in addition to EUV lithography use for desktop CPUs, so it would have been significant. But people tell me 20A was cancelled because it was bad.
10% faster than a 4060 according to Intel's slidesWord has it battlemage is a good amount better than 4060TI but costs less, if its £250-275 at that speed, not bad.
Maybe they’ve gone off for an early xmas break, and to welcome in new CEOs.Any sign of an update, or has intel just given up on the Core Ultra series?

Intel 0x114 Patch In The Works, Will Probably Address The Lackluster Gaming Performance Core Ultra 200S CPUs Currently Offer
Intel's latest Arrow Lake microcode might be rolled out as the "0x114" patch as hinted by ASUS and will be coming to Z890 motherboards soon.wccftech.com
Does anybody now what the "changelog" of those microcode patches are? I installed the latest Gigabyte BIOS 10d for my mainboard with 0x113 microcode and would like to know what the changes are. But could not find any information.![]()

I would expect much. Most of the benchmarks show the chip performing as expected. Outliers will (probably) be fixed. But the most of the performance “issues” (people treating this chip as if it’s bulldozer) won’t go away.
Biggest issue with this chip is perf/price.
Agreed, If the the 265k can match the 14700K like Intel predicted and also improve the memory latency then it will be a good CPU.I'm not interested in the 9, but the 7 is interesting. But they need to lift the gaming performance to equal the 14700K or I won't bite.
