I think they have a lot to talk about than the 5-10 minutes would have allowed them at CES. Frank Azor says it will be a 45min-60min presentation when the cards are revealed so I reckon they will have some serious info to show us.Probably partners showing off their games with FSR4 as well as the performance improvements in ray tracing.

Honestly with the exception of your Cyberpunks... I mean it doesn't look like I would need FSR for years if the numbers are that high, knock down some settings and your good.

I mean when you think about it how often do we actually get a halo game that melts a GPU? (That people want to play)

We had Crisis, then we had Ashes of the Test Bench (which was literally only played to test hardware) Now we have Cyberpunk, I don't see GTAVI being a big game like that it's Rockstar it will be pretty sure but not on the Cyberpunk level. Maybe Witcher 4?

I saw it as being pulled for either being pants or, as you say, better than they thought and pondering if they could muck it all up by increasing the price.

I suspect AMD is waiting until Nvidia is committed to a price and then they can set a competitive price relative to that.

There's usually a very small amount of AMD MBA cards at initial launch into the retail channel. I can only suggest if you want one try and buy one as soon as you can. Historically MBA cards have not continued to be sold after the cards initial launch into retail channels. So probably only one production run for the initial release of the new generation of products.
There is also the AMD shop on the AMD website, it's possible once again for UK buyers to use the EU store and make purchases. MBA cards continue there until the generation is deemed EOL. Whether or not there will be any launch stock at the AMD shop remains to be seen (I doubt it)

Honestly if AMD price this right I think i'm going to go with a 9070XT this time round, I was going to get a 5080 but i'd rather save the money and upgrade my CPU a little sooner. I also think the 5080 may struggle to hold up over time with only 16GB Memory, yes this also applies to the 9070 but that will be a significantly lower price.

This is true for many games past and present, high and max is so little in it static and in motion.

Some settings only really are highlighted depending on the area you are in, such as SSAO works wonders in tighter indoor spaces that isn't just overly bright for example.

Those charts, regardless of their autheticity and accuracy, do make one thing apparent. While decent at 4k, it does seem as though the 4k performance is relatively less consistent against previous gen AMD GPUs. And to me it looks like it's the lower 16GB of VRAM that seems to be holding the 9070(XT) back, when compared to previous gen.

It's still nice performance if real, but it would have been nice for AMD to put a bit more VRAM on these, to help them handle future 4k titles. Almost feels like they're taking a page from Nvidia's book, by not increasing VRAM capacity from last gen (when comparing 9070xt to 7800xt).

Even I'm getting excited this time. And, the reason is because AMD have a genuine opportunity here to begin their journey to another Ryzen moment. The GPUs dont need to be blazing fast, but they DO need to be priced PERFECTLY. I really hope this is the reason that AMD pulled their presentation and that they realised how important this opportunity is. I would imagine its been quite a stressful couple of weeks for AMD - if they mess this one up then some people need to get the boot.

If it was faster than they thought comparatively, they don't need to stress about price as the one they were launching at would have probably sufficed

I suspect they're going to fumble it, but at least we'll find out soon

Maybe a 9970 special edition with two on the board and more vram! :)

You expecting near 4080/7900xtx performance to come in at £349 ain't happening, £500 would be really good imo
