-10 for blackI repowdered my rims to gloss black too![]()
BMW 330i will do high 40s in eco proI can’t imagine you’d see late 40s out of a 4 cylinder petrol either
I don’t think the EA888 is capable of that. Maybe the B48 in the 3 series in ideal conditions at low revs in 8th.
Nope. The best we've had from ours is 42mpg on a long drive to the Lake District. High 40s is dreamland, or you're hyper-miling and sitting in the draft 2ft off the crash bar of an articulated lorry.Maybe the B48 in the 3 series in ideal conditions at low revs in 8th.

We were chilling most of the way in eco mode doing 65-70. You could probably get high 40s, but you'd need to go well out of usual driving habits to do it.I did manage 46 in a 320i loan car but that was on a long trip to Wales with lots of 50 average speed.
I had an old C250d Merc that would do 55mpg on a 20 mile stretch of the A421 to where I used to work. That thing would run on air.Averaged mid to high 40s in the 320d with highs of 62 by comparison.
This is part of what helped me settle on an M340i - the economy is pretty much the same.I have to say I've always found the MPG in the G20 320i and 330i quite disappointing, mid-30's in general. Diesel is far better.
got 1.4tfsi/150bhp manual a4 avant and on regular cross country/fens/A10 A road routes 120 miles round avg 55, doing 50+mpg, mostly just me,I can’t imagine you’d see late 40s out of a 4 cylinder petrol either
Why wouldn't you want a manual ?
How come the reason for deleting a message doesnt actually show you the reason
Why would you?
The best way is...Not sure I have not driven any recent autos. I was just curious as to why there was so many flooding the used market
The older autos though you were limited and I didn't feel in control. And I like being in control of clutch and gear engagement. I guess newer autos are much different these days..
As like most the learning and majority of my driving has been a manual .
Well yeh..The best way is...
...go try one![]()
I have no regrets ditching manual. If you get a car with a good auto box its just such a nice thing to have. Less effort, just waft along. No more faffing on hill starts or when stuck in traffic constantly going in and out of gear. Really does change your opinion once you've driven one. My bro has only recently gone auto, been manual die hard and he loves it. And a good auto nowadays you don't even feel it changing gear, so smooth, unless you are in sport or equivalent modes. Definitely take time to try one.Not sure I have not driven any recent autos. I was just curious as to why there was so many flooding the used market

I went on a YouTube vid the other Day which was a vid based on 3 series and 4 series which do you prefer manual or auto.. a lot of what seems like the Motorhead's were responsing manual, manual , manual in the video comments ,.the odd auto head popped up
Couple of things I'm still stuck on then
- to go manual or auto
- to go petrol or diesel
For fuel not sure, maybe better shorter distance but I do some motorway driving too. And if my job shifts and I'm commuting further away I would want the benefit of a diesel in that respect..
It's a hard decision .
