*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

For me if raster is the same then yes. The rest is fluff and nice to have. Don't forget, we also loose 4 and 8 gigs of vram. Not a fan of that either.

Seem the mentality promoted originally by nvidia marketing regarding DLSS/RT is taking root on the other side of the fence.
honestly, i still see 16gb as WAAAY more than enough.. dynamic memory allocation will always make it look like a game uses more than it needs, as long as it's there windows will give it a surplus, what i'm more interested in is the memory bus and bandwidth.

I get the point. Its odd as the general movement no matter which poison your choosing was that DLSS and RT was the benchmark of what you need. Now AMD are getting onboard its not what people want?

VRAM is a bit of a bummer, the 7900XT had 20GB which was perfect. I think this is one of the compromises where it has to be lower £££ out the gate if they are sticking with 16GB.

I see more games eating up RAM than VRAM tbh, 16GB likely still good for many years. Agree that speed is likely for the foreable just more important.

I'm sort of hoping these come along at the 1k£ price point and have decent performance (lets face it, who isn't!).

I don't think anyone expects nvidia levels of performance, do they? If I can get a 9 series card with a 2.1 display port though it would be mightily tempting for me, I can't see me ever forking out for a 5090, even when there is stock. Just silly money.

Good thing they ain't , I ain't interested in spending £1k on GPU, £500-£600 is my range I'm expecting better value from what's Nvidia is offering from 5070 and 5070ti

Remember when an high end GPU's were £600??? Even then people had to think about it.

Everyone laughed at the GeForce GTX Titan price at launch.

Here we are in 2025, a £2000 GPU is out of stock and people are complaining that they couldn't buy one at launch while AMD are releasing mid-range GPU for £600, if we are lucky.

How times have changed.

Honestly at this point I am hoping reviews are stellar and that the nitro is under £750.
I like the look of the MBA, and it will be cheaper, only problem might be how much will the performance be impacted and noise and temps , compared to the less power restricted high end AIB's

AMD will 100% screw it up!
Of course they will when some here are now saying they are willing to pay up to £750 for a 70 tier GPU, just because it might not be far off 5080 performance.

So going down the stack the 9060 will be well over £400.

If ever the 9060 (non XT) came out ~5070Ti performance would some of you actually buy it for over £500?

AMD showed the slide with the 70 tier comparison so therefore should do their usual 'price slightly lower' but this time price it lower than what they normally do.

9070XT = no more than $600
9070 = no more than $450

AIB's really should not be adding anymore than $75-$100 on top of their cards, just because they change the cooling.

If PC gaming ever dies or becomes only for people with cash to throw away, it'll be the gamers fault for paying for these overpriced GPU's :(

Wishful thinking, and I'm there with you. nV has left a gargantuan gap in their line up with the 5070 (ahem, 5080) and 5090... and nothing in between.

So apparently the new gpus are coming out on the 6th June (as said earlier on this thread). I'm really looking forward to this and I hope amd don't find a way of screwing it up.

FSR4 also needs to be on point as well to compete with DLSS better.

Hopefully this slows down the top end 7000 series sales now so if these cards fail to impress I can buy a 7900xtx (if I can't find a 4080 super at a reasonable price ) :D
