Ugarte and Maguire are out injured for the Europa match apparently
He needs to go and get a draw. I'd play a stodgy team and hope to get a goal on a counter or from a freekick. Lets not be too proud. We are down to the bare bones and haven't managed any sort of cohesion since drawing with Liverpool. Harry Amass and Heaven are in the squad.

He's good him, I like his videos. Shame he is leaving but I presume he is going to be starting his own thing.

I can't imagine its anything but that. Its super low budget what he does so its not like he can't do that on his own and he is the show. As the comments suggest, people will just follow him to wherever he pops up. The stand in lad is pretty good but Adam Cleary is brilliant.

This is a good summary of our current travails.

So it is the system that's not working, because they players can't play it. So IMO he should change it, for the short term at least but we know he's not going to.

The blame for this is solely with the management, how could they not foresee this? They forced Amorim to move earlier than he wanted. Surely they understand football tactics?

Above also suggests we need at least 3 new players then. That's 3 EPL quality players in one window. And when they get injured we'll also have no suitable back up players.

That's not including replacing dodgy defenders and keeper.

It's going to be a long few years ahead :)

You need to listen to what the manager says. It is less about a system and more about a way of playing. He has a way he thinks football should be played, fast, attacking, possession based. The system is only a framework for this . What Amorim is faced with is a squad of players that do not have the speed, physicality, stamina or technical ability to perform this at a high and consistent level. Add in the complete lack of confidence and you have a toxic combination. i thought the video summed this up really well by highlighting how we fail in an attacking because players do not or cannot make the right decisions in the final third of the pitch. I think he absolutely right not to compromise his core beliefs but that does not mean that he can't make tactical adjustments like we have seen when being down to 10 men for example. His philosophy, properly executed will make us an exciting team to watch and that it something we haven't seen since about 2011. The best it's got was the counter attacking football that Ole played but remember how turgid that looked against the low block.

Agree that Ineos must have known this when they appointed him - the biggest mistake they made was keeping ten Hag in the summer.

Whichever way we look at it, it's square pegs round holes.

I'm sure Jim'll Fix It though :o :o

Football is moving again towards a quicker, more direct model after the Pep approach dominated the last ~20 years. We'd be wise to get ahead of that trend and support Amorim to build a squad capable of playing that style as it will build foundations for future managers, even if he doesn't last.

I think Onana needs to go. He isn't the only problem but he makes far too many mistakes.

Amorim needs to admit his formation isn't working either and be more adaptable.

I'd rather wash my hands with ****.

Can't argue with that although you're probably using their products without knowing it. Also, if you were to boycott products due to who makes them/who owns the companies then you wouldn't be able to buy a great deal, unfortunately. You don't even have to look very far... The very place we're posting has some shady history.

Jim should be keeping his mouth shut really, I'd much rather he let Berrada do interviews like this. I want the football people he said were going to be running things answering questions, not the rich mug who know no more about football than me.

I thought he came across quite well to be honest. A few questionable comments on available players and the wage compared to other teams being one of them.

Overall though an intriguing watch and insightful into how far gone Man U are financially as well as on the pitch.
