renew for signature+netflix+sports+HD+UHD was £88.

Told the guy to put me down to signatue+HD. Sky will be getting some comission from netflix for selling it, and as it's no cheaper than going directly, I might as well have some small victory my taking away that commision.

Signature as part of my contract renewal online was £32.50 (£8 of discounts was mention). "sorry sir, I can not see that option, signature is £40.50"

Too much hassle for me to lose sky completely, but leaves a bad taste paying £49.50 a month including HD, when online signature was £32.50...but no way just to renew that alone online.

This HD thing is a total joke.

I'm not sure how sky thinks it's customers feel about the company, surely they know that they are just considered rip-off merchants these days.

I think the more people cancel the sports channels the better.

My subscription deal ran out so going from £35 to £65 tried to renegotiate that got to £45 so said no sorry cancel after 12 years and then they said sorry we don’t want to lose your custom and dropped it to £37.09. But I said I was disappointed as a customer wanting to cancel is the only way to get a deal. I said please cancel my account. Done playing games with businesses like that you either value my custom or not.

Well after almost 2 weeks Sky messaged and provided same package for £35.09 so wife said okay. It’s annoying you go through that to get a sensible price. Least she’s happy and don’t need to find alternative solution.

Nothing special just the standard pack with Netflix, my wife doesn’t watch movies or sports. Couldn’t justify the recontract amount of 45 for such a basic service.

If I remember correctly, you don't have to wait for the download to finish though do you? Doesn't it say 'ready to watch' after the start is downloaded?

I could probably get a little more off if I actually cancel and wait for them to come back but frankly I can't be arsed. That'll do.

Just went through the whole cancel and wait for them to call me. Was paying 96.50 for:

Sky Signature
Sky Sports
Netflix Standard
Ultra HD
Superfast Broadband (can’t get fibre here).

First offered me 81.50 but got them down to 77.50 on phone for 2 year contract. I have Sky Q and wanted to stay as couldn’t be bothered moving elsewhere and less than I was paying in Jan 2023 now.

Yes no recording with streaming. That's why I'm sticking with SkyQ.

Or you could just go with Now tv for a more flexible contract and save money. Added bonus you don’t need to suffer the mess that is sky stream

we've been using free sat and itv.bbc apps etc but miss the abilitiy to pause and rewind...

You can pause and rewind on now tv up to 30 mins. With a bit of fiddling you can go back to the start of the program.
