Games you're playing, and games...

Recently finished Expedition 33 (superb game). My main game at the moment is Death Stranding 2 (the first one was one of my favourite games of all time) but I'm also playing a bit of Blue Prince and Mario Kart World on the side.
Next up will probably be a return to Destiny 2 after the next content drop in about a week's time, although I do have an urge to play Ocarina of Time on the N64 virtual console.. so that may happen soon.

I'm surprised you can play blue prince as a side game. It absolutely drew me in and I was doing 12-hour shifts playing that game which I haven't probably since fallout 3 on release

I play it with the missus where we'll do 1-3 runs each evening. If it was up to me I'd probably be playing it for 6 hours straight at a time!

Never heard of this game, but after a quick Google search it's included in my PSN subscription so I've added it to my backlog of shame :D

It's an excellent game. The first couple of plays I thought it was just ok but then the puzzles start kicking in and it got us hooked. Current playtime is about 60hrs. I think we rolled credits after around 20hrs, so you can keep going deeper and deeper after the technical completion.

My advice would be take many notes, even if you think it may be insignificant. I haven't used a notepad playing a game since I was a kid probably, but wouldn't have got as far as I did without one. Whole folder of photos too on my phone as found that easier to reference than tabbing out (I use one screen)

Just got to the third chapter of God of War. Very, very good so far, combat is immensely satisfying. Even though the mythical sorcery theme isn't really my thing, much prefer real worlds in my games. It's a PS4 disc running on PS5 on an LG OLED and it looks stunning.
Stumbling through the menus a bit though. Got weapon upgrades, armour upgrades, charms and talismans - bit of micro management to do that doesn't seem straight forward yet. Plus the map opened right up in this chapter after I met the witch. Left a few unexplored areas behind but presuming I'll circumnavigate back to them in time. Bit going on!

Forza Horizon 5 missed out on this really playing on COD so much a lot of games I havnt played over the years, enjoying the grind to get some decent cars and houses etc.

I'm in a bit of a gaming rut, looking for a good single player game, probably an FPS and I'm just seeinfg the same old stuff. Even played recently Vladik Brutal as it was meant to be a bit Halfe-Lifey but it was very meh.
Have done the Borderlands, Bioshocks, HLs, Metros, Robocop, Atomfall, Dead Island, Indiana Jones, Atomic Heart blah blah

Absolute state of Mindseye. I thought it looked quite promising and was sneaking under the radar a bit. Looks total rubbish. Why do they release games like this? Does the person in charge never play test it or do they actually think its acceptable?
The game straight up looks like it was 40% made by devs and the rest made by some AI.

With the amount of game studios cutting staff these days, Wouldn't surprise me.

Picked up a Switch 2 recently and have been playing a fair bit of Mario Kart World, mixed in with replaying Mario 64! Just been watching some reviews for Donkey Kong Bananza and am being tempted. Got a code from work for Death Stranding 2 recently, but I never got round to playing the first one so not sure I will end up using it, even though it seems to be well received

Definitely in a stage of playing stuff that I can pick up and play in short bursts, young child and all that. We got a code for Days Gone Remastered as well recently and I would like to play it, but honestly the time I know it will make me put in makes me tired to even think about it! Sad times

Death Stranding looks super boring so I’ve never played it but I bought a PS5 to play through the exclusives. Days gone, Last of Us 1 & 2 all finished and I’m half way through God of War. All of them 10/10 for me.

The God of War games have been my favourite of the past few years, really enjoyed them

Lies of P - Just reached the ending and thought it was a masterpiece, I kept seeing it but thought it was just going to be a generic average kind of game, but when I found out it was souls like I decided to give it a go, and I am glad I did! Excellent game, some bosses are fairly easy others very hard! The setting was beautiful and the story was really good, took me far too long to recognise the link to 'P' and Pinocchio :D really well crafted game and some excellent design choices by the devs, quite liked the idea of Ergo being left outside the boss arenas

Game does definitely hit a difficulty spike last few areas but perseverance is key!

Now have Yakuza: Pirates in Hawaii lined up :D

I picked up a Switch 2 as well - my first Nintendo since the 3DS. If you haven't done, pick up Fast Fusion.Great Wipeout style game, nicely priced, and works well as a game to play for either 5 minutes or an hour or more. Bit disappointed with Mario Kart World tbh. Was looking forward to it, but found it a bit too "meh".
