LG 42-inch OLED

Yep, I noticed that too, when switched from 48" to 42".
It is a wee bit sharper. I also noticed better colors and brightness, but that's because I moved from CX to C4.
that's interesting i have the C1, probably will look better also.

Not sure what you mean - do you mean HDMI1 and HDMI2?

The options for startup are home screen, or last input.
Im referring to the type of input.
In the home screen -> edit inputs it allows to set the the type of devices connected to the HDMI.

It's the same place where you set it to PC to fix all the under/over scan issues when using the tv as a monitor.

I got the 48" version of this but just went to my uncles house yesterday and his 42 looks considerably sharper I guess due to the pixel density, kind of wish I got one of these now!

my brother is going in the other direction, he got 42 c4 and now regrets not going larger. He is going to wait for the 48" c6 as those might be the new WRGB panels.

Hmm, not sure if this is related to EDID/handshake and the TV remembering the device ID then.

Are you using the same HDMI cable for both devices?
Yes, both are using HDMI.
So far only my m4 macbook has this issue. It's like the tv keeps forgetting the device type or something.

Is WRGB going to make big difference?
I can't say 100% as I have not seed WRGB monitor in real life but the G5 TV vs the G4 has made some good important improvements, mostly with crazy brightness but also colour volume. To be honest colour volume was always its problem and they almost fixed that but they still have that white subpixel which washes out the colours as TV gets brighter. On paper and practice I still believe QDOLED panels better than WOLED & WRGB ones even with LG improvements, but they have closed the gap. I think its worth waiting if you are not in a rush, also I would not get too hung up on WOLED, QDOLED vs WRGB as any of these is a huge improvement over LCD. My personal choice for monitor would be QDOLED first, then WRGB like Asus new monitor they just released and then WOLED and then LCD.

Well finally went and ordered the LG OLED42C54LA from Richer Sounds should arrive this week I hope with a 6 year warranty also. Should go well with my new build PC.

Just a warning about richer sounds, that 6th year warranty is from them and not LG. I was 2 day out of that last year warranty date, and they refused to service the warranty, the TV broke about 6 months before that but my mother had knee replacement surgery so just could not do much during her recovery period. When I finally got round to it they said no thank you. So just make sure if something happens don't go past that date.

Good advice thank you.

I'm not sure what the issue is? I've had RS honour the warranty 3-4 years after purchase, albeit as equivalent replacement or a coupon. Ended up using the coupon to upgrade to a better TV.

Hi all, finally got the LG42C5 today and just finished setting things up.

Couple questions.
1. What settings are people using for PC use?
2.What recommendations do you have with regards to OLED car etc again when using as a PC monitor.

Thanks!
